While there's lots to see and do within the city limits, the surrounding countryside offers you a wealth of natural attractions, including one of the world's greatest wonders that's bound to be on your bucket list. Take in the incredible natural wonders such as the Red Rock Canyon, or hop over the border into Arizona and visit the granddaddy of them all, the Grand Canyon.

Las Vegas nightclubs offer the very best in entertainment in a glittering, completely over-the-top style, or you can marvel at the skills of the performers at Cirque du Soleil. Out of the city, Mount Charleston offers scenic beauty and a welcome relief from the heat of the desert, or you could try out some water sports at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Petrol-heads will love a visit to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, while budding scientists of all ages will enjoy the hands-on exhibits at the Discovery Children's Museum.
You can't leave Las Vegas without taking a picture of 'Vegas Vic', the cigar-chomping cowboy neon sign, who's been welcoming visitors to town since 1951.
