AP Adriana Beach Resort (ex Adriana Beach Club)

Adriana Beach Club Hotel Resort is a family-friendly hotel in Praia da Falesia, on the Algarve. The region is best known for its whitewashed fishing villages on low cliffs and sandy coves. Falesia Beach is steps from the resort, where you'll find long stretches of shore and a scenic coastline. Palm trees and landscaped gardens give this property a classic southern European look.

There are four outdoor pools, one heated indoor pool, as well as plenty of places for you to relax in the sun or the shade. You can take part in sports activities at the resort including football, tennis, beach volleyball and mini golf. The hotel runs regular aerobics and aqua aerobics classes. For some downtime, you can play table tennis, boules or darts. You will also have access to the on-site spa, offering a variety of beauty treatments and massages, plus a Turkish bath and sauna. Children can enjoy the hotel-run dance classes and quizzes during the day.

When it comes to eating you have a choice of three restaurants. Al-Gharb allows you to dine overlooking the garden as well as the pool and has a special menu for little guests. O Celeiro offers international cuisine at dinner time, while as the name might suggest Grill specialises in barbecued food. If it’s just a drink or snack you’re after there are two poolside bars.

The hotel has a variety of room types to suit individuals, friends, couples and families. If you want that extra bit of space why not upgrade to a large room? All options have air conditioning as well as a TV with satellite channels and mini-fridge.

The nearest centre is a short drive from the hotel where you can explore local bars, restaurants and nightlife. Authentic dishes to taste include caldo verde soup, traditional stews and spicy sausages. For a sweet treat, you can go to one of the local bakeries for a famous Pastel de Nata. The town also has a bustling nightlife scene with frequent live music played in bars and clubs.

Exactly what we wanted

May 2022 | laurenj70

This hotel offered us exactly what we wanted: a beautiful, friendly place to relax with the option of getting involved in fun activities. The highlight had to be the entertainment team - they were amazing and had the perfect balance of encouraging people to get involved but respecting those who weren't interested. A particular shout out has to go to Carlos - I can't think of a time that you didn't have us laughing. The room and hotel in general was clean and modern with everything we could have needed. Glad we went at a time that wasn't crazy busy because we always had a choice of sunbeds- whatever the time of day. The beach is so close and beautiful, albeit down quite a few steps! The food was exactly as expected for an all-inclusive resort in Portugal and there was plenty of fresh food to choose from - constantly being replaced. I imagine longer than a week though and it would get a bit samey. Just wish with all that fresh fruit around they had actual juice to drink. The only area I think needs improvement really is 'The Grill' restaurant. It was a bit confusing because we weren't told what to expect - servers came around with food on trays which was basically the same food as the restaurant and there was about 5 mins delay between each dish. We ended up eating the fish by the time anything came around to accompany it - and not any real vegetarian options. Unless this changes probably not worth going to this place. Overall we had such a lovely time and made some amazing happy memories. Extremely grateful to the whole team. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Nice hotel beautiful well kept gardens, a pleasant holiday

We arrived at the hotel around 11.30 am to be told our room would not be ready until 14.00 but we were told lunch was starting shortly and we were shown where a luggage holding unit was. I found the front of house very friendly. We were given a leaflet that showed where the facilities of the hotel were located but to be honest the reception was busy so we decided to investigate ourselves. We eventually were given our room where we were shuttled by a lovely man who helped with our cases into the room. The room was of a good size , basic but nice except the dark blue paint made it fairly dark with not much natural light. The food was nice, varied choices but I though not much choice for the under 10,s There are approx 95 wooden steps down to a beautiful beach but there are no facilities at all so take your own drinks, food, towels (although you can hire them from reception for a 10€ deposit) We walked left along the sand and were on the outskirts of Vilamore after 30 minutes and the next day we walked right but didn’t quite make it to Albufeira after 30 minutes. As previously mentioned the hotel is situated remotely in between these two places but the hotel does supply a coach twice a day alternating between V & A 9.30 or 10.30 with return 16.30 or 18.30 at a minimal cost of €1 return. Taxis are expensive but Uber is probably your best bet but if you want to hire bicycles then ask reception. Most of the staff are friendly and approachable and happy to help. There are two pools the main one is where all the action is, just outside reception and a smaller more quieter pool over by block S & T where there is a smaller restaurant which you can use day time but of an evening you have to book. The entertainment is okay depends on your taste I liked sitting outside having drinks listening to the live entertainment but the livelier stuff was going on in the theatre. Something for all kids and adults alike, it really depends on your choice. To be honest I don’t do AI as I prefer SC but this is a nice hotel which I would recommend and probably visit again in the future

Some good some bad

After paying for large room we were given a room with an extra bed so the extra room was not lost and staff were not interested in discussing alternative. Some of the waiting staff are delightful but the managers in dining area need customer service training - quickly. It simply is not acceptable to dismiss questions from guests or to be rude when asked for help!! In bar the same mixed service levels applied too. After sitting at bar the previous evening we were told rudely to move the next night yet Portuguese guys were allowed to take seats at bar.... Pool areas were lovely and the best part of the trip.
