Best time ever!
So this was my first rime in Vienna! Enjoyed my birthday with a perfect service from Altan,Hubert and Damir! I would 10/10 recommend for a stay or five lol in this hotel/ restaurant . Super worth it! ❤️❤️
It sells itself as a 4 star which it definitely isn't. A good 3 star but no clue about customer service.
We stayed for a one night get away in September and it was ok for this. However if we would have planned a longer stay we would have been very disappointed. The main benefits are the location and the rooms are fairly clean, but small and have many useless features while not focusing on getting the basics right. e.g the TV is in such an angle from the bed fixed to the wall that it's impossible to watch, the bedside tables are so small you can't place a book on it. The sideboard on which the TV stands is so small that it would be impossible to put a normal sized laptop there and actually do some work. Customer services is basically non existing. We waited ages for a drink in the evening, watched another customer leaving after having ordered a cup of tea and still waiting for it about 20mins later, and when we complained we got a pointless tirade of being understaffed. Which might be true but a.) I am not really interested hearing someone moan about their company, b.) We watched them having great chats at the bar, sneak out in pairs to the "closed" terrace for what I can optimistically guess was a cigarette break, after announcing loudly that they are doing "some table setting" there. Basically - the staff treats customers as stupid and generally think they are too trendy and cool to actually do the job they are there for. The bar staff gave us a "drink" voucher afterwards for waiting, but it felt smug and after listening to the long complain I couldn't be bothered less. In the morning we came down and had a coffee on the terrace. All the tables and chairs where soaking wet, not wiped down at all. Which is a typical example why this isn't a four star. The check in/out process is weird. Something you would expect in a hostel and not a 4 star hotel. A basic welcome greeting and a smile would go miles here. When you come to the hotel it feels like entering a parking garage. It's dark and unwelcoming. There are two lifts which bring you to the reception area. You have to take the lift even if you just need to go to the next floor (the stairs seem to be set for emergencies only and it looked the alarm would go off if you opened the doors). Esp. with the corona 1 person/lift this means you wait ages. The electric guitar thing is just plain stupid. The sound proofing in the rooms is so bad that you hear everyone walking past your door. I can't image anything more annoying than listening to an drunk pseudo musician rocking it off in their rooms. Oh yes, and the bedsheets are across the bed which is unpractical. And the bed covers under the sheets are the wrong way around - so the plastic side is up and that means you feel sweaty sleeping on them. It could be a decent 3 star and quite fun. But selling it as a four star and charging 4 star prices is a cheat.
Fabulous hotel
My second visit and still it remains a lovely stylish hotel. The rooms are comfortable, the bar area and exterior are wonderful. It's a very cool, friendly, stylish hotel. She the staff are all very friendly and helpful
