We may well speak the same language as our neighbours across the pond. But if you’re heading on holiday to America, you’ll be surprised at just how many differences there are that could cause some serious confusion, should you accidentally use a term in the wrong circumstances. (Trust me, after working in the US, I’ve definitely been there!) Avoid embarrassment on your next holiday to the States and brush up on your American and British lingo below.
