These days everything is going electronic – from music and movies, to mail and messages. Even reservations and bookings can all be done online. Gone are the flimsy paper passes; now all you need is a confirmation email and print out of your itinerary, as simple as that!
Luckily, the digital age makes this easier than ever, letting you skip the long lines and confirm, change and check-in online. Thomas Cook has an array of videos and how-tos available to guide you through the easy process, sparing you the stress so you can get away and onto your holiday, stat!
Changing Your Booking
You can call or live chat with travel representatives via the Thomas Cook website. Depending on your enquiry, you can fill in a request form for a speedy response. Otherwise, the online customer service team will be able to point you in the right direction to get your issue resolved.
Checking In Online
To avoid the dreaded airport queues, why not check-in online? Thomas Cook customers can now save time and drop their bags directly at the counter. Click on ‘Manage My Booking’ on thomascook.com, choose ‘Online Check-In’ and follow the instructions on screen. Of course, you can still check-in in person at the airport. You should be there at least two hours before your departure time.
Requesting a New e-Ticket
If you book online, you will receive your e-Ticket via email within three days. Simply print it out and store it with your passport to pick up your boarding pass at the airport. Misplaced your e-Ticket? Don’t worry. Log onto thomascook.com and click on ‘Manage My Booking’ to request a new ticket. If you haven’t received an email, you can take your passport and booking number to the Thomas Cook help desk at the airport and they will print it out for you on the spot.
While it’s almost always possible to amend the details of your flight, it definitely helps if you have travel insurance to cover those unforeseen circumstances and worse-case scenarios. Fingers crossed you never get stuck with lost luggage or cancelled flights, but it’s best to always be prepared!
