Now that Christmas is a distant memory, it’s time to look forward to what 2016 has in store for us. Hopefully you’re starting to get some inspiration for this year’s summer holiday – or winter holiday for that matter – who said you can only escape to the sun in the summer months?
If not, check out my holiday inspiration for 2016 before heading back here to find out how to find the best holiday deals:
1/ Book early – Like with most things in life, the early bird catches the worm. Think of booking your holiday like you’d think of buying your clothes in the January sales – you’ve got to get in there first before all the best deals are gone.
2/ Don’t leave it until the last minute if you have kids – Similar to above, it’s even more important that you book early if you have children and can only go on holiday during the summer holidays. Being restricted on dates means that you may end up paying more than you’d like if there are only certain options left for you.
3/ Filter the search panel – Rather than just searching by the date or destination, filter your results to ensure that you’re seeing the best possible deals available. If you check the left-hand-side search panel on ThomasCook.com, you’ll see that you can select how much discount or savings you would like on your holiday. Keep your eye out for deals such as kids from £1 too.
4/ Be flexible – If you aren’t restricted by school holiday dates, then be as flexible as you possibly can be. Be open to travelling from a different airport or than you’re used to, or try a new destination that you’ve never been to before. Change things such as your departure airport, destination, duration and board basis to the ‘any’ option in the search panel and you could just find yourself a bargain.
5/ Sign-up to email newsletters – If you sign-up to receive our emails, we can help you to find great deals on the holiday of your dreams. You’ll get the best and most current prices delivered straight to your inbox so that you can act fast and bag yourself the perfect getaway.
