Weather in Alvor

With Algarve’s warm climate, you can expect lovely warm weather all year round in Alvor with little rain and plenty of sunshine. The weather is usually very pleasant with warm temperatures lasting throughout the year. The best time to visit Alvor is between May and October for the warmest climate. There are around 12 hours of sunlight a day, which is plenty of time to explore the region, sunbathe and do some quality sightseeing. Sea breezes are quite common near the coast. They cool you down from the intense heat of midday but can make it seem colder than it actually is. Make sure to wear high factor sun protection and don’t stay out in the sun for too long. If you love swimming, the best time to go to Alvor is when the water is warm and inviting. You’ll notice a rise in water temperatures in late May that continues to increase to the mid-20s in July and August.
