Hilton Orlando

Looking for a Florida hotel in the heart of everything Orlando has to offer? You can’t go wrong with the Hilton Orlando Resort! It’s centrally located amidst all the major theme parks and other star attractions, and only minutes from the eclectic dining scene and entertainment of International Drive.

Mind you, you might prefer to dine at the hotel, as Hilton Orlando Resort has several mouthwatering dining options of its own. Tropics Pool Bar & Grill is a real hub, with its prime spot on the sun terrace, while the bistro opens every day for breakfast and lunch, accompanied by picture-window views of the sun-drenched resort. Fancy a bourbon and a burger? Head to David’s Club Bar & Grill. Or, get your fix of steak and chops at Spencer’s. You can even pick up something delicious made from scratch at any time of the day or night from the 24-hour Scratch Market, aka foodie heaven!

And when it’s time to chill, set up camp by one of the two pools (one’s just for adults, perfect for some peace and quiet). There’s a lazy river and a waterslide, too, plus Splash Pad - a kids’ ‘spray ground’ for all the water fun they can handle. Meanwhile, cabana rentals offer the ultimate poolside experience, complete with a fridge, waiter service, loungers and a snack basket.

Want to take that relaxation up a notch? Make your way to Eforea, a 15,000 sq. ft spa, salon and fitness centre, where you’ll find everything you need to reset body and mind. For total indulgence, try the Sea Escape facial and massage combo - it’s blissful!

And for those days when you just can’t sit still, get yourself to the sports courts. There’s tennis, basketball, bocce ball and volleyball. Or, check out the activity schedule for a great selection of games, arts and crafts to keep you all busy.

Come evening, sip handcrafted cocktails freshly made by the expert mixologists at the lobby bar. It’s open from 2pm until late, so it’s a perfect stop-off point when you get back from a full-on day at the parks or an alligator-spotting adventure in the Florida Everglades.

And, when you make it back to your room or suite, freshen up in your family-style bathroom and crash out on your Hilton’s Serenity BedTM. There’s also a coffee maker, a mini fridge, an LCD HDTV, a safe and an iron and board, whichever room type you pick - there are plenty to choose from, including spacious family suites.

If you’re combining your Florida trip with business, Hilton Orlando’s an excellent hotel choice, as it’s designed to help you blend work and play. As well as the ergonomic workstation in your room, there are world-class business amenities here. Think, 250,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, including picturesque outdoor venues and large, modern rooms with natural lighting. Plus, Hilton Orlando Resort is connected to the south side of the Orlando Orange County Convention Center by a covered walkway.

Whatever the purpose of your getaway, the following is all included in the daily resort charge made by the hotel: 15% off at Hilton Orlando’s restaurants and bars (excluding Tropics); 25% off cabana bookings; 10% off at the spa (excluding the salon); basic internet access for unlimited devices; daily use of the fitness centre; daily equipment rental and leisure activities, including the lazy river, Splash Zone, basketball, volleyball and bocce ball; two daily I-Ride trolley passes; a 15% discount voucher for the Andretti Driving Experience; and $10 off at Top Golf.

Sleep Quality

Very poor hotel for holiday makers or anyone else for that matter. Skip this one!!

May 2022 | Damien L

We previously stayed at this hotel in 2017 and had a great experience, despite a hurricane. The experience this time for very different and extremely unpleasant. Staff were disinterested at best and not at all helpful. When we checked into our room we found used lingerie on the floor - this room had clearly not be cleaned to any reasonable standard. When e reported it to reception, they said that they would arrange a 'deep' clean of the room. This obviously just involved someone coming to the room and removing the offending item. All of the lamp shades in the room had some sort of watermark on them. I can only imagine what these were. Again, the front desk was not interested when I reported this. The hotel clearly makes it's money from conferences and these occurred everyday, including Sunday. The reception area was constantly filled with loud delegates and you couldn't get a table for the overpriced ($35!!!!!) breakfast, as this too was filled with delegates. At one point my mum and aunt asked the concierge to book them a taxi, as they wanted to go shopping. The concierge could not complete this simple task and I had to come back to the hotel to book one for them _ it took me 5 mins!!! A few days before the holiday ended we came down to reception to find that it was entirely cordoned off and under construction. This was never communicated to us or any of the other guests that we spoke to. The coffee shop was also gone and no alternative was signposted. The complete lack of any form of customer service or interest in their guests is something that I have never experienced before and I have stayed at some shockers. This is supposed to be Hilton 'signia", but that apparently means poor customer service and rude, unhelpful staff. I certainly will not stay here ever again and I strongly advise anyone else from doing so.

Solid and consistent

A great location for a conference - loved the gym and pool - great access to the OCCC could not really ask for anything more - the bar was nice for after work drinks and the service was top notch. Even if you are not there for a conference I would recommend a family stay for the pool and amenities

Hotel is nice, management practices not so much

Our room was on the 4th floor. We checked in as HHonors members and asked for a quiet room above all else. The room in the corner was clean, spacious, beautiful views. All was perfect until the girls arrived next door. I'm sure they were younger (cheerleading conference attendees?) and they were up all night long unsupervised yelling (sometimes screaming), and slamming doors running to other rooms for hours on end. At 3am we had to again ask them to be quiet and have consideration for other hotel guests. Why the hotel put them in rooms next to our room in the corner is beyond me. I was disappointed and surprised there was no spa at this hotel, too. Kind of rubbed salt in the wound... :(
