Why choose Coral Princess?

Coral Princess is one of just two cruise ships in Princess cruises fleet specially built to sail through the Panama Canal and also offers a wide choice of entertainment and dining options in spacious surroundings. British passengers will certainly feel right at home, as the Coral Princess features a casino with a London street theme, for those who like some familiarity whilst away. Even at full occupancy there is plenty of space onboard this expertly designed vessel, making it a perfect choice for holidaymakers looking for a relaxing cruise experience and the chance to explore exciting new destinations.

Destinations and itineraries

Coral Princess spends the summer months sailing from its home in Canada to Alaska, travelling from the famous Inside Passage and passing through several treasures of natural beauty. Come the end of September, The Princess sets sail for warmer waters and begins a series of Central and South American cruises along the Grand Panama canal.

The end of August sees The Coral Princess set sail on a Voyage of the Glaciers Grand Adventure Cruise, a 14 night cruise that sees her depart from the vibrant city of Vancouver and pass through Inside Passage, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, The College Fjord, Wittier and The Hubbard Glacier, before heading back to Vancouver the way she came. This is a golden opportunity for passengers to visit the places they may have missed the first time around. On board, passengers will witness dramatic scenery including the 76 mile long Hubbard Glacier and The College Fjord, where 16 glaciers converge into one. A Coral Princess cruise also offers the chance to ride The Mount Roberts Tramway in Juneau, one of the most vertical tramways in the world.

On 12th October the Coral Princess sets sail on an 11-night Panama Canal Adventure. Setting off from Ft Lauderdale, Florida and passing through The Dutch Antilles, Columbia, Panama, Costa Rica and Jamaica before returning to US waters.

Coral Princess blends the exotic with the familiar. The ship is a vacation destination that offers up a pleasing amount of glitz, yet at the same time makes sure passengers feel right at home. The design of The Princess makes her the ideal choice for people looking to visit Central and South America and in particular, the Panama Canal, in style.

Dress tends to be casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress is semi-formal, meaning jacket and tie for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies, whereas formal events are the time to dress to impress, as men are required to don a suit or dinner jacket for men and ladies a cocktail dress. For the sporty types, Coral Princess has it all. In addition to the four pools on board, there is a host of sporting activities including mini golf, shuffleboard, tennis and deck chess. Burning off those calories from the fine dining is also easy in a state-of-the-art gym, aerobics, whilst an extensive spa features a choice of alternative health therapies for those wanting to relax.

Ninety percent of Coral Princess’ staterooms offer ocean views and 700 of the 962 feature their very own balcony - perfect for witnessing the magnificent engineering marvel of the Panama Canal. The comfortable cabins are attractively decorated and equipped with modern amenities such as a fridge, safe and flat screen TV. The ship has a maximum capacity of 2491 and there are 980 crew on board. Even at double occupancy, the ship provides a highly respectful crew to passenger ratio of one for every 2 passengers.

Dining onboard the Coral Princess is a spectacular experience, similar to even the largest of cruise ships. There are two dining rooms, Provence and Bordeaux, both providing fine food and an excellent level of service. There are also more informal venues for a quick bite, including Sabatini's Trattoria, whilst the panoramic ocean views of the 24-hour Horizon Court are not to be missed. For the more private diner, there is 24-hour room service available. Another more informal eatery, unique to Coral Princess and her sister ship, is the Bayou Café and Steakhouse which features live jazz and flavourful New Orleans-inspired cuisine. Whatever your mood there is a dining choice to suit on-board the Coral Princess.
