Paddle surfing in Gran Canaria
You can't go to Gran Canaria without spending some time soaking up the year-round sun on the island's beautiful, golden beaches. But maybe you crave something a little more than just lounging on the sand? The Canary Islands are perfect for trying your hand at different water sports and the beaches of Gran Canaria are home to a whole variety of activities for you to choose from.
A really fun way to spend your day at the beach is to get out and experience paddle surfing. If you're not sure what that is, it combines surfing and rowing, where you stand up on the surf board and gently glide along the water surface using an oar. It's perfect for those who love the water, but perhaps aren't so keen on the more adrenaline-fuelled water sports. It's also ideal for those days when the water's a bit too calm to catch any waves.
There are lots of places where you can try paddle surfing in Gran Canaria, including Playa del Inglés and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which have a number of dedicated paddle surfing schools. So why not give it a go on your next holiday?
