This luxurious hotel is located in the small resort of Puerto de Mogan, where local fishermen still sell their daily catches at the town’s market. With an average of 320 sunshine days a year, it’s one of the top destinations for avoiding grey clouds. Radisson Blu Gran Canaria Mogan boasts a children’s pool (with water jets) and a kids’ club. For the adults there’s a large swimming area with a sun terrace, a spa, gym and sports facilities. What more could you want?
Start your day with breakfast at The Larder, it’s served until 10:30 on weekdays and 11am at the weekend. You may choose to return here in the evening for the international buffet, with themed corners. Lovers of Italian food should reserve a table at Filini, where the menu includes freshly made pizza and pasta, accompanied by the finest wine. There’s kid friendly options, as well as alternatives for those with intolerances. Two poolside bar restaurants offer relaxed lunches, as well as your favourite drinks from mid-morning until the evening.
Standard and Superior rooms are a generous 35m2 and can accommodate a maximum of three adults and one child under 12. You’ll have your own balcony to chill out on and a walk-in rainshower to cool down in. WiFi is available, while the TV offers mirror casting, making it easy to video call your loved ones back home. If you like a spontaneous swim, upgrade to get direct pool access. Premium rooms and Suites have the added benefit of a Nespresso® machine. The Three Bed Suite can cater for extended families of eight.
The hotel is 1.5km inland from the sandy stretches of Playa de Mogan and the harbour, where a choice of boat trips are on offer. A fun family day out is just 16km away, thanks to Aqualand Maspalomas, with white knuckle rides for adrenaline junkies and a separate waterpark for young children to splash around in.
Adventurers may wish to head up to one of the island’s landmarks - Roque Nublo (23km away). This volcanic rock was formed over four million years ago and stands at 80m tall, offering panoramic views of the island. If you like a challenge, hike up from the bottom, or if you’re not up for that, you can park a short walk from the summit. For a more recent piece of history take a wander around Las Palmas Old Town (45km away), where the impressive cathedral dates from the 1500s. While you’re in the city, don’t miss out on getting a selfie with one of the dog sculptures!

Service
Lovely location, clean, would stay again.
This really is a lovely spot, rooms very nice, everything is spotless, kids had a ball in the pool. We arrived NYE for a week, our room was clean, the sofa bed is small so I don't think would do kids over 10 very comfortably, but mine are 6 and 8 so was fine. we were in block 3 so terrace didn't get any sun but we just pulled beds out if we were sitting in the afternoon. There were bouncy castles daily and they went to kids club twice and enjoyed it. We did B&B and it was nice, good selection of hot, cold, fruit, meats etc. It gets VERY busy so be prepared to queue. There are lots for the kids to do and mine loved the pool with the ball in it. We had lunch a few times and it was really good but the service is so slow. Its not the staffs fault, they just don't have enough staff. But we weren't in any rush so it was fine. Mogan is a lovely quiet resort, I really enjoyed the walk down in the evenings or to go to the beach. It is so beautiful around the port, we got the boat up to Puerto Rico one evening that was lovely for a change. We had massages which were fantastic (I think maria was the therapist), the hair salon was closed the week we were there which was a pity. All in all a lovely spot, I would stay again but go for a bigger room next time.
Nice place to stay
Second time here. Overall nothing changed and still great all round friendly service and very nice food, although we did only have breakfast. Bar prices not much different from down town, maybe Euro in it. We found pillows to soft, but quick call to excellent reception staff and sorted. Cleaning staff do an excellent job!! Night entertainment is good, although, personally, i am not a cabaret act person. Overall a nice quite relaxing week in clean, fresh enviroment.
Birthday trip
I will give some positives and negatives. Positives: Even though we booked basic double room with Mountain View the room was great. Bed the most comfortable we’ve experienced in a hotel. Did ask for firmer pillows which was absolutely no problem. Gabriela, the lovely lady looking after our room (we’re still here) is a credit to hotel. Nothing too much trouble and room serviced so well everyday. Very generous gesture of a cake and bottle of bubbles delivered to room on husbands birthday. Lovely pools. We tend to sit at quiet pool and it is a nice relaxing vibe there. It is a large hotel and our room furthest point from reception so if mobility a problem think about which room you book. Hotel really fair in (if rooms free) allowing changing rooms free which is rare in most hotels. Sun beds are slightly uncomfortable. This is not the end of the world and there are ways around it. All in all we have and are enjoying the hotel. 5 days of hot sun in January in a lovely hotel has been a treat. Only negatives: Breakfast ok but is busy. Food could be a bit hotter. Nothing that I would say don’t book here however. Pool snack/drinks bar, think faulty towers. I also feel a little overpriced. Today at lunchtime 1 pizza (delicious) I hamburger and 4 drinks £50. Don’t be put off by these negatives. We’re enjoying being here!
