Lopesan Baobab Resort

During your stay at Lopesan Baobab Resort, you can splash in the pool, relax on the sun terrace and admire the hotel's miniature waterfall. The hotel has two buffet restaurants and two a la carte restaurants. Younger guests can enjoy daily activities at the hotel-run kids' club while you relax. If you want to take part in some sporting activities, you can use the tennis court or the mini golf course at the hotel's sister resort, Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort Corallium Spa & Casino, which is within walking distance.

Varadero shopping centre is 300m away from the hotel, while the nearest beach, Dunas de Maspalomas, is 700m away. Yumbo Centrum, a huge shopping centre in Playa del InglÈs, is 4.5km from the hotel. Here, you find over 200 shops including clothes, shoes, perfume, jewellery and electronics, as well as many places to eat and drink. At night, it becomes a lively entertainment venue with clubs and bars to suit many different tastes. You can reach the rock by taking a guided hike through the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Once you're there, you'll be rewarded with impressive views of the island below, as well as Spain's highest mountain, Mount Teide, which is on the neighbouring island of Tenerife.

The hotel's two buffet restaurants are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The two a la carte restaurants serve African and Mediterranean dishes. If want to relax outside with a drink in between swimming and sunbathing sessions, you'll have two pool bars to choose from.

If you want to keep up with your fitness routine, you can work out at the hotel's gym. For some downtime, you can head to the spa at the hotel's sister resort, Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort Corallium Spa & Casino.

Perfect family hotel

Finally, despite Covid, we got to travel again! Mum, dad and 2 kids, 7 and 2. Judging from the pictures online, I was expecting quite a lot, and boy did this hotel exceed my expectations! Utterly beautiful entrance, fast check-in, despite about 3 busloads of tourists arriving at the same time. A long walk to our room, but that's to be expected at any large resort. It takes some time just getting the whole lay-out of the place. Countless pools, the river running through half the grounds, the "main" pool, children's pool - all of it was lovely. Countless various palm trees, olive trees, different plants and the life size models of different animals (elephants, crocs etc) made it a fun place e to just go for a morning walk after breakfast. It is without a doubt the most spectacular pool etc area I've ever seen at a hotel. The room had a great view out over the "lazy river", and a nice bathroom with a huge bath. Perfect for putting the kids in to git rid of all the sand after a fun day :-) Fine size for a family room. I would definitely recommend getting a room with a lazy river view, or sea view, as the rooms on the other side of the hotel look out on the road, and what appears to be maybe a building site in the near future. Food was excellent. We had half board (breakfast and dinner) and went out for lunch, or ordered something from the phi phi restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner were as expected - and again, I was expecting a lot. You'd have to be a very picky eater not to enjoy this buffet. Very easy to stay a bit healthy, going for the piles of salads, various fish-stuff etc. Only negative would be that there is a bit of traffic noise from the road outside the hotel, during the day time. Not that this is the hotel's fault, and really, not a problem at all. Staff were always polite, friendly and helpful. Beach and town all within 5 minutes walk. January was a bit on the cool side, especially the first 2 days, but it warmed up nicely. Would recommend walking in the sand dunes. I think we'll have to go again one day :-)

Would definitely return.

The hotel is very conveniently located in this delightful resort. Short walk to the sea. Right on the doorstep of many restaurants and shops, but a calm and quiet environment inside the hotel. All areas were super clean and sanitised. All the staff were professional, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was buffet style and the continental selection was extensive. The hot selection was varied and while not as hot as I like, it was good quality and tasted fresh - omelette/pancake station was good. A number of restaurants and bars available inside the hotel. Really enjoyed the stay.

A lovely experience!

My second time visiting and i am still very pleased. The workers are so nice, friendly, and they work really hard. great job !The food at the restaurant is great with a lot of varieties. The hotel is very family friendly. I love the kids show in the evenings, i enjoyed the songs and the dance routine probably more than the kids . Overall it was a good experience again. We would be visiting again.
