    Mykonos weather September

What’s the weather like in Mykonos in September?

The wonderful Mediterranean-like summer climate goes on into September around this popular Greek island. It’s much quieter than July and August and the Mykonos weather in September enjoys highs of 27°C and very few showers. Perfect.

    Geographical influences

Found between the mainland of Greece and Turkey, in the bright blue Aegean Sea, Mykonos is part of the pretty islands of Cyclades. Between May and October, the Meltemi winds sweep through from the north and bring a light breeze on hot days.

The Aegean Sea’s still very warm in September. Its average temperature of 23°C makes it an inviting place to cool off, especially as Mykonos can reach 27°C during the day. In the evenings, this dips to 18°C which is great if you fancy a stroll along the promenade. The sun shines for around 11 hours in Mykonos in September and most days will have clear blue skies until the sun sets about 7.30pm. An average of only 14mm rainfall is expected over four rain-affected days. The warm weather in Mykonos in September attracts lots of visitors outside of the peak summer season.
