Last minute holidays to Portugal
Perfect for a quick getaway, Portugal holiday deals are great for an escape to the sun for two, or bagging a bargain two-week holiday for the whole family. With a mild climate, plenty of blue skies and a flight time to the Algarve of less than three hours, cheap last minute deals to Portugal are hard to beat.
A holiday on the sunny Algarve is perfect for families. Albufeira is a real favourite, boasting 30km of soft sandy beaches to enjoy. You'll find plenty of activities here, with water-skiing, paddle-boarding, and plenty of pedalos. You're never far from a waterpark either, and the famous Aqualand is easily reached by bus or car.
If you prefer something a little quieter then Lagos is a great option. You'll still have the warm waters of the Mediterranean to enjoy and plenty of pretty beaches, but with a more laid-back feel. Lagos is good for getting out and about too, and a trip along the coast to Sagres is a real highlight. You'll find a great choice of hotels for your late deals to Portugal too, and many of them have dedicated kids' clubs so the little ones are kept happy all day long.
Hard as it will be to tear yourself away from the beach, cheap deals in Portugal have lots to offer if you like to get out and about. Nature lovers will adore the miles of unspoilt countryside, and if you base yourself in the pretty fishing village of Alvor, you're close to the flocks of flamingos at Ria de Alvor nature reserve. History lovers are spoilt for choice. As well as the charm of coastal fishing villages, there's the medieval quarter of Faro to discover, complete with impressive gateways and historical churches. If you visit Faro in August, you'll have a chance to experience the spectacle of Silves, a lively celebration of all things medieval.
The Algarve is also in easy reach of Lisbon. Here you'll find varied nightlife, contemporary art in Museo Coleao Berardo, upmarket eateries, and a cosmopolitan atmosphere. A trip to Lisbon is a great way to add an extra dimension to your holiday.
