If you visit Faro in August, you'll have a chance to experience the spectacle of Silves, a lively celebration of all things medieval.
The Algarve is also in easy reach of Lisbon. Here you'll find varied nightlife, contemporary art in Museo Coleao Berardo, upmarket eateries, and a cosmopolitan atmosphere. A trip to Lisbon is a great way to add an extra dimension to your holiday.
