Matadero Madrid Art Centre Spain
The Matadero Madrid is a unique arts centre that opened in 2007 after being transformed from slaughterhouse buildings that were originally built between 1908 and 1928. The industrial heritage adds character to the site that covers a massive 148,300 square metres and is home to several dynamic spaces.
You'll find that the centre is less touristy than other art walks in the area, spend a day seeing the eccentric range of avant-garde performances. The centre hosts a variety of dance, drama, art, film and literature exhibition, which aims to promote community living through creative research and a broad art program.
