What's the weather like in The Gambia in October?
The West African country of Gambia has a beautiful subtropical climate, bringing warm weather and sunshine to the region all year round. The country has a dry season which lasts from November to June, and a rainy season from June to October. As October falls at the end of the wet season, you can expect some rain showers this month, but there’s still plenty of sunshine and hot temperatures.

In October the average temperature in Gambia is a very warm 28°C, reaching highs of 31°C in the afternoons. With high UV levels you’ll need to take care in the sunshine by seeking shade, drinking plenty of water and applying sun cream regularly. Around 90mm of rain’s expected this month, so it’s likely you’ll experience some wet weather at this time of year, but showers are usually short-lived. For lazy days on the beach, the Atlantic waters are a bath-like 29°C in October, ideal for swimming or snorkelling.
