As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What's the weather like in Skiathos in October?
Skiathos is a beautiful island in the Aegean Sea, just off the east coast of Greece. Brimming with picturesque natural scenery, it has a Mediterranean climate bringing hot, dry summers and mild winters to the region. Temperatures are cooling down in October as the autumn period begins, although the weather’s still warm at this time. If you want to explore the island and its many interesting sights away from the crowds, October’s a great month to go on holiday to Skiathos.
Averages
The average temperature in Skiathos is 18ºC at this time of year, reaching a high of 20ºC in the hottest part of the afternoon. After sunset, the average low dips to 11ºC, you might want to bring some warmer clothes for evenings out across the island. Rainfall does pick up in October, and with 70mm of wet weather forecast for the whole month, it’s worth bringing a waterproof jacket just in case there’s a shower. There are still eight hours of sunshine each day to enjoy though, while the Aegean Sea’s an inviting 21ºC this month.
