Spring begins in March, so you’ll get higher temperatures and warmer weather as the month progresses. Hersonissos weather in March is sunny and bright, which is perfect for sightseeing and relaxing on the sandy shores near the Mediterranean coast.Geographical influences
Hersonissos is a resort town on the north coast of Crete. The town is wetter and cooler than the south of the island because northerly winds blow in from the Sea of Crete. This causes temperatures to drop and it can also bring in more rainfall to the region whereas the central mountains shelter the south. You’ll need to pack some warm layers and a waterproof jacket for your visit to prepare for the weather conditions in Hersonissos. If you prefer a slightly drier and warmer climate, travel towards the end of the month when temperatures have picked up and there’s slightly less rainfall.Averages

Each day has up to 12 hours of sunshine, giving you plenty of time to explore the resort and enjoy a few day trips to other parts of the island. The sea is too cold for swimming, but you can still relax on the beach and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the harbour. The average monthly rainfall is around 62mm with a daily humidity average of 73%.
