What's the weather like in Kalamata in October?
Sitting on the southwest coast of mainland Greece, Kalamata is a lovely resort on the country’s Peloponnese peninsula. It has a Mediterranean climate bringing long, hot summers and mild winters to the region, with temperatures cooling down in October. The weather can still be lovely and warm at this time of year, although there’s more wet weather to contend with after the dry summer period.
Averages
In October, the average temperature in Kalamata is 19°C, reaching a high of 25°C in the middle of the afternoon. With seven hours of sunshine to enjoy each day, you’ll need to pack plenty of sun cream for your holiday at this time. After sunset, the average low drops to 13°C, so you’ll want to bring some warm layers for evenings out. Kalamata expects 100mm of rain over the course of eight days in October, so a waterproof jacket is a good idea too. If you fancy a swim in the sea, the Ionian waters are a pleasant 22°C this month.
