Great location for first time visitors
We had a wonderful 5-night stay at the Indigo Ku'Damm. Being our first time in Berlin we wanted to stay near a major transit hub so we can catch both the U and S bahn and buses to Berlin's Christmas markets. This location was ideal but more about the room — our room faced Hardenbergstrauss and was surprising quiet, the room was very clean and the queen-size bed was very comfortable. We opted for the breakfast package during our stay and we were not disappointed. The breakfast offering was very good and they even had hot dishes on the menu. The staff was more then helpful with information and one team member, I didn't catch her name, even went out of her way to help us with our TV issues. During our stay it was my wife's birthday and when the restaurant hostess found out she gifted her with a very thoughtful hotel 'swag bag'. I will return to this hotel for future visits
Excellent clean Hotel in a central location
Stay here for a long weekend with our family to celebrate my husbands birthday. The hotel was very clean and very well located. The train station was minutes away as was the bus station. This made it a great location but as in any city the train station attracts some homeless people and there were quite a lot of people living in tents under all the bridges in Berlin. Not begging just living rough. The Hotel staff were really helpful and my daughter is gluten and lactose free. The Hotel breakfast were suitable for my daughter but Berlin is a difficult city to be gluten and lactose free in, even with a find my gluten free app. There is a bus stop near the Hotel and all the 100 and 200 buses mirror the hop on hop off bus routes and you will find your tourist destinations really easily. I could not understand the Underground signage! And love the buses, easier to use and a better view of the city Xmas market close by. Berlin, even being challenging for dietary requirement was amazing and this Hotel I would highly recommend
Super 6 day stay!
My wife and I stayed at the Indigo for six nights in mid-October. It was a great stay! All the staff from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the breakfast staff were excellent. The breakfast options were excellent. At times the breakfast buffet was crowded, but I observed that the management team and the front desk staff pitched in at various times to clear tables, run food from the kitchen, and seat guests. Teamwork at its best! As has been mentioned in previous reviews, the Indigo is located close to the excellent Berlin transportation hub near the Berlin Zoo. I would like to single out one hotel employee, Mr. Veikko Brunner. I worked in the hospitality/hotel/resort industry for years in the US. The front desk staff of any great property is the face of the whole property. A sincere "welcome" is priceless for any guest. Veikko and his colleagues at the front desk were helpful, friendly, knowledgable, and incredibly welcoming. And one last point, Veikko is a talented photographer! Ask for a Hotel Indigo postcard featuring his photograph of Berlin's iconic Brandenberg Gate.
