Disappointing
Nice location and clean, but with bad elevators, in the morning everything was blocked, people unable to leave the hotel. Breakfast room full of people, the other breakfast room with outdated aspect. Poor value for money, super expensive for what is offering.
Small rooms, badly organized
Average city hotel - the rooms are really small and not very comfortable, the hotel is rather old, service is not very good. Prices for rooms are way too high compared to what the hotel offers. There are much better options, which offer more value for the money.
a Berlin hotel to be avoided
We couldn't believe this was a Radisson hotel. We checked in for the possibility of a view, even a modest one, and faced another building. We also expected room service and laundry, neither of which existed, which the website doesn't tell you. While we had a suite, we weren't told that the bathroom was actually IN the bedroom, meaning no privacy at all. Even the glass wall around the toilet wasn't really opaque. While the hotel is handy for transportation, the immediate area isn't very interesting to tourists--an open plaza, busy streets, and shopping malls. Also loud concerts (which mercifully ended by 10). The hotel is a relic of Eastern Germany, with narrow dingy halls (I half expected a surly attendant to be seated at the end each hallway), and low ceilings, making the rooms claustrophobic. We tried and failed twice to get any air circulation in our room (there is no air conditioning, and the thermostat or whatever it was didn't function). Windows don't open. We each got one thin little pillow. The bathroom amenities include a tiny bar of soap and a small bottle of shampoo/body wash. The check-in line was long, although check out by phone was possible. I imagine they are understaffed. To add insult to injury, the hotel is now continuing to charge us for nights we didn't stay there, after check-out. There are better options in Berlin.
