Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
Geographical influences
Playa de las Americas is on the south coast of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, between the resorts of Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje. Towns in this part of Tenerife are slightly warmer and drier than places in the north. This is because Mount Teide, the huge volcano in the centre of Tenerife, shields the area from some of the wind and rain that can reach the island from a northerly direction. Warm air that sometimes blows west across from the Sahara desert is cooled by the Atlantic and can bring a refreshing dip in temperatures during July.Averages
Sunbathers and beach goers will love the amazing weather in Playa de las Americas in July. In this peak summer month in Tenerife, the average temperature rises to 23°C. Some days this can be several degrees higher. The legendary sunshine of the Canary Islands produces ten hours each day, with the sun not disappearing until after 9pm at the beginning of July. Rainfall in July in Playa de Las Americas is extremely low, at around 2mm, with an average of just one day receiving rain during the month. If you fancy a splash in the Atlantic Ocean, you can expect the water temperature to be a very pleasant 22°C. UV levels are high at this time though, so wear plenty of sunblock when you’re relaxing outside. The average wind speed of 14mph is usually very refreshing.
