Mojacar Village
Mojacar has two distinctive parts; the old town of MojacarPueblo and MojacarPlaya. Spend an afternoon exploring the old town to see Mojacar's rich Moorish heritage and old fortress. Wander through the cobbled streets that wind through the whitewashed houses with their floral decorations. See if you can spot MojacarPueblo's good luck symbol, the Indalo Man talisman: a stick figure with an arch over its head. It can be seen on jewellery, trinkets and embellished on the doors of houses and businesses.
A weekly market is held in the area where you can buy everything from homemade souvenirs to fabrics and fresh vegetables. Stop for a bite to eat in one of the many cafes and restaurants or have a refreshing drink of water from the natural springs.
MojacarPueblo provides stunning views of the nearby mountains and coastline. Enjoy the modern amenities and entertainment in Mojacar Playa which is where the majority of hotels, bars and restaurants can be found. Spend sunny afternoons on the 17km stretch of golden sand, relaxing in the beautiful Mediterranean weather. Take in the picturesque views of the stunning coast or take to the water and try your hand at the variety of water sports available including jet skis, surfing, banana boats and paragliding. There are a few secret bays hidden along the beach which are protected coves, meaning complete peace and tranquility.
You'll also find a variety of souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants to feed your appetite. With a large variety of food to sample, from steak to seafood, you're bound to find something to suit your tastes.
