    What’s the weather like in Athens in September?

    The sunshine hours and high temperature drops a little this month, but for many people, the Athens weather in September makes it the best time to visit. The Greek capital’s still very warm but the peak summer crowds begin to disappear.

It shines for an average of eight hours each day and doesn’t set until around 7.45pm. Rainfall in Athens is extremely light during September. Just 13mm falls on average and there’s a good chance you won’t see any at all. The Aegean Sea’s very inviting with an average temperature of 25°C. The UV level’s high, so use plenty of sunblock as you relax by the beaches on the outskirts of Athens.
