    Athens weather November

What’s the weather like in Athens in November?

You’ll see some bright autumn sunshine this month and warm temperatures that could reach nearly 20°C in the Greek capital. The Athens weather in November produces some showers, but it’ll feel warm and pleasant compared to the UK.

    Geographical influences

Athens is found in the sunny region of Attica, in south-east Greece. It’s one of the warmest spots throughout Europe. November’s in the wet season with light showers expected, but the Mediterranean climate and mild sea temperatures help to keep conditions on the land very mild.

There’s no need to bring too many sweaters this month, because you’ll get some warm days and see lots of sun in Athens. The average high temperature’s an impressive 19°C in November and the normal daytime average is 15°C. At night, this’ll fall to around 10°C or 11°C on colder days. The sun shines for four to five hours each day on average, from ten hours of daylight, and doesn’t set until well after 5pm for most of the month. The weather in Athens in November is probably not quite warm enough for relaxing at the nearby beaches, even though the sea temperature will be an average of 20°C. You can expect 58mm of rainfall this month over nine rainy days, but the showers can pass quite quickly.
