The staff is really helpful, our rooms were perfect with everything we needed in a boutique hotel, they provide us with all the local recommendations and how we can use the local transport to reach the places in the cheapest and quickest way possible.

This hotel is perfect for your excursions into old town; within walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace Museum, and Bosphorous waterfront. Our third floor room had a balcony with a fantastic view of the street (Hüdavendigar Cd) which was usually vibrant and bustling until the very early hours. We chose this hotel to have access to the historical sites, not to sleep in afterall. Here, we were within walking distance to numerous cafes, restaurants, gift shops and bars. We took taxi when we wanted to visit a rock n roll bar in a modern area on the other side of the Bosphorous. Service was very responsive and always helpful. The staff was prompt to answer our every request - such as additional pillows and even a sack lunch to take with me to the airport when I checked out. Now, brace yourself, because the rooms can be quite small, but sufficient and always kept very clean. There was a WiFi, television in multiple languages, air conditioner, refrigerator, hair dryer, kettle for making tea and coffee. The elevator was the smallest I have seen to date- with room for only two occupants and maybe luggage). The breakfast buffet was a sumptuous feast in which one could either eat very healthy (fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, whole grain cereal) or indulge in delicious treats (pastries, chocolate, other deserts...) We also used the money exchange service downstairs to acquire more Turkish Lira. If you want a more luxurious, spacious hotel, then maybe stay some place else. if you are adventurous and thrifty stay at the Hotel Black Tulip!

I stayed here for a few nights,but what a wonderfull hotel,and friendly staff and the manager was the best.Breakfast was nice and had a variety of stuff.Rooms were clean and bathrooms also very clean and tiday.Close to all major sightseeing palces.
