The Alvaro Apartments are very much family oriented, with two outdoor pools and a fun waterslide. Nevertheless, there's ample room on the poolside terrace for adults looking to relax and soak up the sun. The Alvaro is just a short stroll from the centre of this picturesque resort, which can be as peaceful or as lively as you make it, with its varied bars and restaurants and its lovely sand and shingle beach.

Great location
We stayed at the Alvaro in September 2022. The rooms are a good size and cleaned daily, towels and sheets change on a regular basis, the staff at the Alvaro are friendly and will go out there way to assist you in anyway, 2 lovely swimming pools 1 child’s pool cleaned daily plenty of sun beds we shades We had food and drinks at the Alvaro which is priced reasonably and was nice. The Alvaro is situated very close to the town centre just a few minutes walk and only a 10 minute walk to the beach. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the town centre that offers good food priced reasonably. Value for money the Alvaro is a great place to stay and i would recommend it. My wife and i have already booked for September 2023
Fabulous 100%
Beautiful hotel nothing for the staff is to much trouble (they even do your laundry on request) rooms very clean, cleaned daily, 2 beautiful pools spotlessly clean. Restaurant food lovely even had a beautiful roast dinner not shy with the beef! Extra gravy on request. This is my second visit at Alvaro and ready booked for my third visit. Great value for money!!!!!
A bit like marmite
The Alvaro is tucked away in a more residential area, 2 lovely guests took us to reception, our transfer bus couldn't pull up out front, check in is easy they photocopy your passports and show you to your room. We went to the bar / reception area and paid for the safe and aircon, £38 for both, had a couple of beers and bought water. Curtis entertained us with his wit and funny one liners. Our room was on the ground floor which was a double, galley type kitchen but no toaster, a kettle 2 ring hob and a few pots and pans a toaster would be a great addition, maybe it's missing so you have their breakfast instead. Our double bed was comfy, the pillows a bit lumpy but the top sheet was a rough feeling bed eiderdown, a strange thing to have a thin duvet would be better and more comfortable, a nice big wardrobe and bedside tables, but no lamp or bedside lights. The bathroom is clean and modern with a nice walk in shower with a rain fall shower head, but the bathroom rails and hooks just fell off when we pulled the towels off. Sunbeds are readily available with soft cushion tops, the sun is blocked out by the trees and bushes at various times of the day, you lose a good 2 hours of late afternoon sun but if you like natural shade you won't be disappointed. Loud music is played out of a solitary speaker and the music choice is mostly this dreary blues artist, a strange choice for a holiday soundtrack the same song was blasted out several times a day, I asked Curtis to change this gloomy tune, and I got a 1970s playlist, the same thing you hear in almost every bar and restaurant, Abba YMCA and Boney M, occasionally a drum a bass playlist was thrown into the mix. We only ate lunch here, there are so many bars and restaurants within 100 meters or so walking distance, and a few more in the street behind. If you want the big supermarket it's not as you walk past the row of cash points and the taxi stand, instead turn left out of the entrance, left again and walk straight up that road, it can be reached by other roads as we found out, but left, left is best, and it's called Migros. The water slide is fun for all ages, it gets switched on every couple of hours, the pool is cleaned daily by the Manager, the rooms are kept spotlessly clean, towels and bedding changed every couple of days by the live in cleaner who seems to be on call all day, she is a real asset to the place. If you like a small low rise holiday base, with a food and drink on tap, comfy sunbeds and cold pools to dip in and out of, you can't go wrong with Alvaro, we would return here for a break and many of the guests were return visitors.
