Russian Nighmare

Booked this hotel through on the Beach and the reviews looked great so we booked it. Its a 2.5 hour ride from Atalia airport which is tiring after a 4 hour flight from the UK .. so bear this in mind. We arrived at 6.30am, the night receptionist was very polite and spoke resonable English he changed our room to a twin without much fuss. First impressions the Hotel and rooms are very nice and clean, the staff on the whole are pleasant and curtious but most speak lttle English, the pool and bar facilities are generally good if a little small . The beach is just an 8 minute walk and supplies free sunbeds on beach 35, the hotel provides free towels for a 5 pound deposit. There is masive market outside on Monday so you can get your souvenirs early, The deserts, tea , coffee and soft drinks are very good. Generally the Hotel itself is realy good. BUT .. The Bad Points: The Hotel caters 95% for Russians and Germans who are rude and curt at the best of times and make the stay horrid, they hog the lift and barge around like they own the place. The food is awfull it caters for Russian and German taste only .. chips for breakfast ? very limited choice of hot dishes no cold meat or cheese so if your a fussy eater avoid or youll eat out, we ate mainly salad, bread and cake . The bar is OK the orange juice tastes like over diluted squash, Gin Vodka or Raki are the only spirits and local larger, bar closes at 11.00 which is ridiculous for a Hotel. To sum up would I come to Alanya again Yes .. I probably would. Would I stop at this hotel again no I would not . It is not set up for the English clientele.

Great place for staying. As our family trip was for doing nothinga we hag a great time for staying at this hotel. The staff-great-helpfull, kind. The enterteiner-best. Food-excelent. Thank you OBA TIME HOTEL.. We had great time to stay at this hotel. Cleaning every day, kind staff, excelent staff at check in. We hope to stay in next time.

The Hotel is very nice and clean. The rooms are sufficient for a short stay but the view from our room was awful. We were opposite a run down apartment block with overgrown bushes and rubbish outside. We arrived 03.30am and we’re woken at 05.15 by the call to prayer from the mosque 100 metres away. This happened every morning and 4 times a day also. The food is repetitive and boring. If you have fries one night, they’re served at breakfast next day. Lots and lots of salad and continental cheese though. We ate out every evening as we couldn’t find anything we would enjoy. There is entertainment but again it is repeated. The guy tries his best but it does get boring. The staff are all outstanding and a credit to the hotel. They are polite and helpful and go the extra mile. The manager is extremely helpful and again a credit to the hotel. As a group of four we enjoyed our stay apart from the food, due to this we won’t return again
