Girls relaxation from demanding job
My friend and I had a week R&R. The hotel is beautiful, lots of marble, sweeping staircases, ornate lighting, terraces and beautiful sea views very spacious and has that wow factor. We stayed in A block level 4. Pool/sea view. Balcony extremely small and no sun. Rooms well equipped and spacious, clean towels every day Everything is immaculate, communal area, lots of seating inside and out. Beautifully located on a lovely sandy/pebbly beach. Take water shoes. Bit rocky in areas entering water. Plenty of sunbeds and beach bars close by. Disappointing that they charge €75 for the cabanas. Lots of beautiful pool areas, slides great for kids, but sectioned off for lovely quiet areas. Water not heated Beach bars/restaurants best places to eat from 12pm, fresh chicken/doner meat/pasta pizza/burgers and lovely fresh salads/breads preferred it to main buffet restaurant which I found large dark and depressing, wasn't always sure what I was eating, food never hot , i felt it let's the hotel down. If your extremely fussy and not willing to be adventurous then may not be for you. Don't be fooled like we were when is says numerous restaurants, because you can only choose one option for your total stay and not multiple as we presumed. As it was end of season we managed to get 2 Mexican and Turkish. We've never been fed so quickly in and out, food nice though and made a change from main buffet, just no atmosphere. That could be due to the fact that a Few of the bars/club/cinemas were closed as end of season, so anythings after 1st week of October really quiet as staff are preparing to leave and winding down. On a positive note hotel fab, staff wonderful, animation team warm friendly and very inclusive. Irish bar great cocktails. Patisserie bar for cakes/ice cream etc if you enjoy a sweet treat in the afternoon Spa is lovely, nice indoor pool. We had a hamman spa - amazing value for money £99 for 2.5hrs. Staff friendly and welcoming. Well equiped gym, games room for kids. Few shops in hotel which were OK sold basics inflatables, jewellery, bags, fashion items. Doctor on site Hotel totally isolated nowhere to walk other than a short way along beach but no shops or outside bars. Local minibus to kusadasi for about £2.50 run from main road every 30 min roughl, takes 40mins. Taxis expensive £45 If you want a total relaxation away from it all to totally unwind then this is the place. We loved it and came back fully refreshed. Actually sad to come home We absolutely loved our iced coffee and our Turkish freshly made Pisi every day sat by the beach watching sun go down.
End of Summer Break
Just back from a weeks stay, the hotel itself and the decor are palatial, lovely terraces over looking the pools, all spotlessly clean. Rooms and balconies are fine for 2 people. Food is plentiful, not fine dining but you wont go hungry, breakfast is continental only, so don't expect a full English! Plenty of sun loungers at the beach and the pools (October) A few things I feel worth mentioning, 1. The Pools are not heated 2. All but one of the advertised bars are closed at this time of year 3. Half of the A la Carte meals are unavailable 4. None of the staff are fluent English speaking 5. The advertised "mini bar" is a fridge in the room stocked with soft drinks. 6. No English speaking TV channels, if thats your thing. 6. Most important of all, Standard rooms have a Car Park view and the noise of industrial extractor fans, avoid at all costs. Overall not a 5 star hotel, lots of little things not quite there. Fur coat and no knickers springs to mind. That said we all enjoyed ourselves and would possibly return, maybe earlier in the season and in a better room
Highly recommend beautiful hotel very grand and inviting
Just got back from a week at the sunis efes royal palace after originally being booked into the Tusan beach resort which was the dirtiest most grimiest hotel we ever had the misfortune to stay in so be sure to avoid that hotel if you are considering it. The sunis efes hotel and spa has a very grand finish, the decor and seating through out the hotel is very inviting and pleasant to sit and unwind in one of the abundance of available bars. Branded drinks are included, jack daniels baileys martini etc The Irish bar was very nice we had drinks in here every night there is also a sports bar with a couple of snooker tables which looked lovely but was closed due to being end of season. The hotel is huge and has all you could need to enjoy a wonderful holiday The Mrs had a spa which she thoroughly enjoyed We particularly liked the patisserie where you could get fantastic scoop ice cream, cherry vanilla strawberry caramel chocolate pistachio and also a big selection of cakes and coffee. Special mention for the cheesecake in here it is delicious. The patisserie was the perfect place to go after a day by the pool or beach but please note ice creams not available at pool area only in the patisserie The food around the pool was the same every day but was fantastic, rotisserie chicken, chicken doner, spaghetti, pizza, meatballs, hot dogs, baked potato, waffles and my favourite part of the day, another beer with a cheeseburger. The quality of the cheeseburgers was actually quite surprising they were really good. Outside eating area does suffer badly with flys and wasps and the wasps are evil I do think this is a big issue especially for guest comfort and whilst the hotel can’t be blamed for wasps and flys they could place repellents around the eating area to stop or reduce this issue, maybe they will take this onboard and put in place for next season We ate at the Mexican one night and opted for the beef fajitas which arrived sizzling on the skillet, have to say these were divine highly recommend The main restaurant was spotlessly clean and waiting staff presented very clean and tidy and happy serve you drinks to your table. There was always a wide variety of food on offer and if you can’t find anything you like the issue lies with you not the food, quality wise it was nice but certainly had better Chicken or steak “thin cuts” cooked fresh along with pasta pizza fish and many other dishes each night Pools were lovely and pool area always clean Sun beds modern clean and comfy Entertainment staff always busy, wasn’t for us and we didn’t get involved but you could see how hard they were working to make the guests happy We visited the hotel shop to get a bucket for our little one, they didn’t have buckets but the chap proceeded to empty a plastic haribo pot and presented this to our little one along with a small pack of sweets this was a very kind gesture sometimes it’s just the little things that can make a difference Would highly recommend this hotel its huge has all you could possibly need is spotlessly clean and has a lovely grand finish
