Very good hotel!

This is the 3rd time we’ve been to Richmond, the last time was 20 years ago. The hotel has definitely aged a bit since then, but it’s definitely a 5 out of 5, 4* all inclusive hotel. The value for money is excellent and the food, activities and drinks are all great (wine and cocktails are cheap but you expect that). The Only development area for me is the staff appear over worked and a few of the managers seemed to moan at the staff quite a lot, especially in the main restaurant. This is an amazing hotel for families and we didn’t need to leave the resort once in a week! Football, table tennis, shooting, archery, swimming in 3 pools, relaxing on the very calm private beach in front of the hotel, water slides, Turkish baths… loads to do! Will likely return, very good! What to say about people that sell to you what they do not have and therefore cannot give you? In my opinion this is some no go because it is utterly unserious. The food was average, the drinks were awful but the organisation during the meals was even worse. Queues, queues, queues everywhere and no trays available combined with long ways to the buffet and the beverages. Although we went their in low season, in October, some evenings the hotel was complete full because some bus loads of guest had arrived. NOthing against this people as they were not the worst guest but the hotel did not take the organisational measures in its restaurant for such overflow of people. And then: Who would expect such in October? English speaking reception desk only from time to time available. Best the you guy who argued with me in some hardly understandable stuttering that it was me that was not speaking any englisch at all while his was on my turkish level: -)) Most important: Don´t get misled by the hotels homepage featuring "House of Mary" and cultural highlights in the proximity of the hotel. Mostly low class guests that are more than happy with the kind animation that corresponds to them like "Oktoberfest" on the beach bar with no way to avoid for those with different taste. Sorry, but no place for decent people and 2 max 3 stars should do.

The hotel is good, but there were some nuances, because of which I put only 3

I'll start with the cons that lowered my grade. We lived on the 5th floor, there were no more rooms above us, it made us happy. But on the third day of arrival, at 11 pm, a terrible rattle began on the roof, something was constantly dragged. At this point, we have already gone to bed (yes, we are like that, sleeping at 11 pm is normal for us). We went up to the top, it turned out that there was a conference room terrace above us, or something like that, and on this terrace, the employees dragged tables and chairs, until 12 pm ((. The employee at the reception could not help us. I, as a restaurant employee and in the past of the hotel, I can say: this is not the right management. The second point is the smell of the kitchen. Every day around 5-6 pm, we closed the balcony. Since the smell of rancid oil, We just couldn't stand it. We were at the end of September, already it was comfortable enough not to use the air conditioner, but just keep the balcony open. Third, the paths on the beach, they were only at the exit to the beach. (this is my personal whim). The beach is sandy, in other hotels, at least with so many stars , there have always been paths along the entire beach so that guests who do not really want full sand slippers can reach the sun lounger. hotel and a long time to enter the invigorating ode to the depth of the neck. The hotel has many advantages. The location is 10 km from Kushidasa, secluded, comfortable. The area is not gigantic, but enough for a walk in the evening. Everything is well maintained and clean. Two large swimming pools. The animators and all the staff are very helpful and friendly. (except for the roof situation). Taxi to Kushidasi, can be ordered at the reception, cost 10 € one way. The food is great, there is a huge variety every day. At first, your eyes are kindled, then you just stop yourself, because you don't want to bring extra pounds. Very suitable for families with small children, as the sea is very shallow on the territory of the hotel. Now my friends are resting in hotels. I would be happy to recommend it. But with the caveats of the cons that are written above.
