A very good hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Everything was good. The room was really clear and has a balcony which was a good view from the beach. The dinner time started from 7 pm to 10 pm and it was really delicious food. We had a dream night on Christmas night in there.

Reservation Money Theft

My vacation at Boyalik Beach Hotel in August 2022 became very expensive since I paid for the room twice. In June I reserved through the hotel's reservation desk. They wanted full payment for 9 days which about $3,765. Since the credit card payment did not go through, I contacted the hotel again and then the person referred me to a reservation supervisor which sent me a bank transfer account information for such direct payment. I paid that amount through my bank account and received acknowledgement from the such person & my bank. The day prior to my arrival the hotel called to inform me that they did not receive the payment and wanted another payment. Once I pushed back, the reservation officer admitted that there has been a few internet hacking incidences and I was one of the victims and I should report to the police for such theft. Since this vacation was planned well in advance, I had the pay again with a minor discount of $175 and check in. The next two days I had to spend time to report the incidence to the police and seek legal counsel support. Since there are a few more victims like me this year, the prosecutor had started an investigation. The hotel management was not cooperative to share such case number and I don't expect my complaint will get anywhere because Boyalik Beach Hotel is a major business in town and nobody would like to upset them!! The hotel claimed that they have been a victim of internet hacking and put up warnings on their website. However since I communicated directly with the hotel staff (not a third party agency), I assume they do not have adequate security measures and not employing secure cleared staff. I just wanted to share this experience with interested clients, so that public should be very careful and don't pay full up front, or pay through other secure means that projects your vacation investment. Once we had contacted other folks that may have influenced the GM, the hotel issued another courtesy discount of $350 at our check out. I would have expected an apology upfront with a major discount and perhaps some other courtesy gift from the management to save the reputation of the hotel. Obviously they don't care! Another annoying observation was the architectural detail in the bathroom. There is a full view window with blinds (!) between the bedroom and bathroom that is a source of light and noise pollution. Otherwise the Hotel Facility and Services are great!

Not a five star, lots wrong but location and certain elements of this hotel mean i would definitely stay here again, the hotel sits on an amazing beach, plenty of sunbeds in nice gardens, on the beach and on a wonderful jetty.....the sea is mostly calm, crystal clear and a soft sand sea bed mean swimming off the jetty is wonderful. View from sea view rooms were amazing, the room we had was tired, little bit smelly and the cleanliness id rate 6 out of 10, also somedays no hand towels, no toilet paper, very hap hazard, lack of staff who speak english made it sometimes a very frustrating stay, Front desk staff were good though again english was lacking, thankfully google translate came into its own but "eggs over easy"at breakfast was still an issue! Staff are all very helpful if not a little inexperienced. Breakfast was usual fare, was ok, the food at dinner was again okay, nothing to get excited about, very samey, and for 4 out of the seven nights we went out even though we'd paid for evening meal. I'm not a buffet fan , one very annoying aspect is there is no way to keep your table to show others you are already sitting there, so if you both get up to get your food its likely somebody will come and sit at your table. One time my wife and i got up to get our main meal and the beer id just ordered along with other drinks was cleared away, only hotel I've been to where you not only have reserve your sunbeds with towels but also your table at dinner, a simple sign to say this table is occupied would suffice, Dinner felt a little canteen like with all the tables lined up in neat rows, though admittedly outside and with a nice view. One afternoon about 4pm we tried to order coffee and some cake, even after somebody from the hotel explained to the waiter what we wanted twice, they still got it wrong. For the price we paid to stay here i think we had good value . I wouldn't want to pay five star prices for.what really is just a decent (just about) four star hotel. Common areas, pool, all very clean and well maintained. good watersports, good free spa for resident guests, So after reading this review you may wonder why id stay here again, well simply put the location and views from the rooms is amazing and the hotel staff are very helpful. Dont expect a five star experience, stay at the Reges if you want that but then you'll pay more than double and the beach at Boyalik is better. This really is the first summer after the pandemic where things were normalish so perhaps in time the aspects I've complained about/ more experienced staff will improve.
