Built in the local style, the apartment complex has an attractive garden with colourful shrubs and consists of individual blocks connected by a drawbridge and pathways. Located towards the Bodrum end of the resort, the complex is opposite the beach and has stunning views across the Gumbet Bay. The centre of the resort is a 15 minute stroll made shorter if the route is taken via the beach, while the cosmopolitan resort of Bodrum is 2.5km away and easily reached by public transport which runs from the end of the road.

On our first night after hours of travelling, we arrived at the hotel and immediately 2 women were complaining about their rooms, which we thought could have been unfortunate but not a decider the stay would be bad. Our room was all the way at the back of the hotel up 4 flights of stairs, I am 4.5 months pregnant and had emailed them several weeks before to ensure we would have a room with not many stairs (which they agreed was fine). Upon getting to the room, it smelt like sewerage. It was so bad, the man who helped bring the cases up ran straight to the bathroom and flushed the toilet! We attempted to ignore the smell, however it was too much. We went to lay on the bed and saw 3 little jumping fleas or tiny jumping bugs that looked like fleas, the beds were stained with poop and blood, and there was mould on the mattress. When we went down to complain to the receptionist he just kept saying “it’s not my fault” and he couldn’t do much until the morning, and left a note for his manager. So we had to go and stay in our poo room for a few more hours.. When we woke up we went to speak to the manager who agreed to move us to another room, and did so fairly promptly. However the moment we got into this room the tap broke and water spurted everywhere. The rooms are “cleaned” daily but we were told towels aren’t changed, only every 3 days so if you need a shower you must use your beach/pool towel, the door kept jamming and locking us in meaning we’d have to use the balcony and walk around to the front to get anywhere. There was another day we went to play pool around the bar, the staff made us feel so uncomfortable-laughing and staring. They then took the chalk and hid it, when we asked for it they said they “didn’t have any” (we had JUST used it and seen them take it away). We have spent the majority of our time over at Tropicana next door, the staff were so friendly there and not once did they make us feel unwelcome. I am truly so disappointed with the siesta experience and would not recommend anyone stay here. Unclean, unprofessional and unsatisfactory.

I’m giving this hotel an excellent rating ,For the location and the staff they cannot do enough for you and always make sure things are running smoothly , the rooms are basic and minimal and that’s what you pay for …there cleaned (not like your standards at home ) but bedding and towels were changed daily and we purchased some bleach etc for our own use from the shop witch is 30 seconds walk and cheap -(but that’s me )- don’t expect the ritz,your not going to get it ,but the cleaning staff work tirelessly and it seems they never go home …the food at the hotel is good from bar snacks ,salads to pastas and pizzas the entertainment is great and big mentions to oktay ,jin ,gulhan and yunis & chop chop .. the location is perfect ,right near everything and the sea is in front of you giving a beautiful welcome breeze , the hotel has two pools so never feels over crowded .the staff don’t stop always cleaning and making sure everywhere is safe around the pool to prevent slipping etc and the toilets are clean. My only complaints is the aircon it’s only in one room in the blocks so it doesn’t cool the entire apartment and it’s unbearable hot to try and sleep and it should be free not £30 per week…maybe the hotel could offer fans also.

Once again an amazing holiday had by all. Just can not fault the Siestabeach apartment. The location of the apartments is great place at the end of the bay beachfront and only a lovely 10 minute stroll along the beach into the centre of Gumbet. Dolmus stops right outside if you want to visit Bodrum and a taxi rank 2 minutes away. We were greeted by a nice young man and lady in reception who were very helpful and was shown to our rooms. We had 2 rooms booked a 1 bed apartment and a studio both of the rooms were lovely and had everything we needed for our stay. The siesta has 2 pools the top pool is a little more chilled with stunning views of Gumbet. We stayed mostly at the bottom pool as this is where our 2 grandchildren aged 5 and 7 wanted to be. We had many a good breakfast and lots of tasty snacks which were reasonably priced. hubby and I love the Dolphin bar the guys are amazing Oktay, Jindar, Yunis and Hamdi are the best. We have stayed here for many years and every year gets better it really is home from home. I want to say a special thank you To Oktay and Jindar for all you did for us and the grandchildren we love you. To all the guys waiting on to Ibrahim and all the reception staff the cleaners to Chef, to Hamdi, Yunis. , to the maintenance man and to Tamer and the beautiful Gulhan thank you so so much for making us make happy memories that will last forever ❤️ How could I forget to mention Zeus the apartment doggy the we all adore him.
