Within walking distance of a number of beaches on the Koukounaries headland, Muses is found on the south-west coast of the Greek island of Skiathos. The hotel enjoys a quiet setting in tropical gardens overlooking a nature reserve. Skiathos is part of the Sporades archipelago in the Aegean Sea and is known for its combination of sandy beaches and vibrant nightlife. Muses has two outdoor swimming pools, including one that's for kids only. There's a poolside bar and a terrace where you can sunbathe and relax. The hotel has a restaurant with an outside seating area that offers views across the surrounding hills and olive groves. On certain evenings, Muses provides live entertainment acts. Wi-Fi is available in all public areas. Koukounaries Beach and Agia Eleni Beach are within walking distance of the hotel. The fine white sand of Koukounaries has clear blue waters to one side and a pine forest to the other, making it one of the most highly regarded destinations in Skiathos. You'll find a number of bars and restaurants here, and if you're feeling more active you can explore the pine forest for its rare wildlife and plants. Agia Eleni is a quieter beach, attracting visitors at dusk to watch the sun set behind the nearby Pelion mountain.
Koukounaries Beach is 525m from Muses. The capital of the island, Skiathos Town, is 12km away. Here, you can stroll along pebbled streets and admire the traditional Greek architecture of its buildings and houses. Skiathos Town has a lively nightlife scene, with plenty of clubs to choose from and a wide range of waterside bars and restaurants in its yacht-lined harbour. If you head up to the higher parts of this hillside town, you can sit with a drink and take in views along the coastline. From Skaithos Town, you can also take day trips by boat to the neighbouring islands of Skopelos and Alonissos.
The hotel has two bars and a restaurant that serves traditional Greek food. Within walking distance of the hotel, there are a number of restaurants and bars. You can choose from classic Greek tavernas, seafood restaurants and places serving Italian, Chinese, French and fast food.
From Muses you can explore the coastline and beaches of Skiathos, and hike or bike around the shore of the Limni Strofilias sea lake.

Not great, beds awful
Stayed here for 2 weeks in September, the hotel is very dated and in need of renovations, beds rock hard and breakfast basic, but we didn’t pay a lot for our stay. Ava at the pool bar was great and always friendly and helpful. We spent 4 nights at a small hotel in Skiathos town, just for the comfy bed! Enjoyed Skiathos and would return, but to a different hotel.
Nice hotel
Stayed here for 7 nights in September, not been to skiathos since we got married there is 2001, booked this hotel as it’s near where we stayed last time , very clean , breakfast ok , different eggs every morning, only problem was the hard beds, other that that a lovely hotel, booked for next year
Old and not worth the money we paid Jet2
Very poor standard of accommodation , it must have been very nice in the late seventies but unfortunately not a lot has been changed . The bathroom was disgusting ,mould on tile grout, mould on joints between tile and enclosure, rusty shower curtain. Bedroom furniture very old and in need of replacing. On a plus point bending and towels very clean. On the breakfast front, very sad display only available between 8 and 10 . Poor quality , same repetitive rubbish day after day, juice rubbish coffee rubbish , no toaster. You’d probably get better food in prison! Staff were very good around the complex. Bar could have done more snacks. Overall very disappointed with no wi-fi through the complex , it’s only available near reception which is very poor in this day and age considering the monies paid . And to be asked to pay 30€for a fridge for the stay is not acceptable . In my honest opinion Jet2 should not be selling this accommodation , it would seem to me that they do not inspect the rooms.
