Santo Mira Mare is located on the southern coast of Santorini, with a private area on the famous black sand beach of Perivolos. The hotel is just over 3km from the base of Mesa Vouno, from here you can hike up to the site of Ancient Thera (just over 1km), which became a settlement in the 9th century BC. Not only will you find the remains of an ancient Agora, temple, gymnasium and theatre, you will have breathtaking views across the island and out to sea.

Numerous wineries are located between the hotel and the airport, where you can purchase some local vino to take home for friends and family, just be sure to keep within your luggage allowance! Couples wanting a photo to share on their social feeds should head to ‘The Heart of Santorini’. Here, volcanic eruptions have left a heart shaped hole in the rock formations, with the sapphire blue Aegean sea showing through the creation.
