El Greco is within walking distance of Santorini's capital, Thira, and a short drive from the village and beach in Kamari. There's lots to do for both adults and children at the hotel, with several pools, activities and places to relax both indoors and outdoors. In the hotel grounds there's an outdoor pool area with five main swimming pools as well as a separate, shallow children's pool and a sun terrace where you can relax with a drink from the pool bar. Indoors you'll find a gym, so you can keep up with your workouts while you're away. After an exercise session, you can treat yourself to a beauty or wellness treatment in the spa. You could book yourself in for a massage, or simply sit and unwind in the whirlpools. There's Wi-Fi throughout the hotel's public areas, and a 24-hour reception. Santorini is a favourite with couples for its sea views, local bars and restaurants, whitewashed towns and black-sand beaches that you can explore during the day or at night. Families with children can also find plenty to do, and there are walking trails and tourist attractions to enjoy in the warm weather.
The centre of Santorini's capital, Thira, is 500m from the hotel. Thira has a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, as well as places to enjoy an evening drink. You can explore the narrow streets, where you'll find lots of small shops for souvenirs, or you might like to sit and admire the distinctive multicoloured houses set into the hillside. The beach at Kamari is 8km from the hotel. It has volcanic black sand and you can spend long days in the sunshine here. The village of Kamari has plenty of traditional charm, as well as live music, restaurants and bars.
The hotel has a bar serving alcoholic and soft drinks. There's also a buffet restaurant where you can get breakfast, lunch and dinner, and an a la carte restaurant which is open in the evenings. The cuisine includes traditional Greek dishes, as well as pasta, salad, meat and fish.
In nearby Kamari you'll find an open-air cinema, and there are also places to take children including amusement arcades and play centres.
Rooms at El Greco Resort have their own balcony or terrace, as well as individually controlled air conditioning. There are small minibars and satellite TVs.

Santorini Style & Service
Whenever we travel to Greece we always make a return visit to Santorini and stay at the wonderful El Greco Resort. We first visited this picturesque hotel in 2012 and keep returning as it is ideally situated, has fantastic staff and has an ambiance that is pure Santorini. They provide a wide variety of room options that are well appointed and the resort is large and has lots of open space and several swimming pools without feeling crowded. The bar and restaurant cater to almost any tase and you are in close walking distance to the center of Fira but far enough away to enjoy a peaceful rest when the late night bars and clubs are in full swing. Many staff members have been with the resort for several years and it is always nice to see a familiar face when we visit that is almost guaranteed. We were particularly pleased with the assistance provided by the resort manager this summer due to a booking error caused by another source outside the resort. Although we only stayed for two nights this year he made every effort to ensure the error was corrected with alacrity and we appreciated his genuine understanding and follow-up throughout our brief stay and will return again.
Good hotel handy for the town
Stayed for a week half board. Room was nice. They all overlook one of the pools. Good buffet breakfast and dinner. Staff are all lovely and work their socks off. We found drinks quite expensive compared to UK. Lovely views from front of hotel.
Lovely
Very expansive resort with swimming pools on every level, comfortable clean rooms, impressive service, good dining options and central to the island. It was a very positive experience. My only regret is that it was too chilly to enjoy the pool!
