The currency in Rhodes is the Euro, and it’s easy to get prepared for your holiday by exchanging some money before you go. You can order as much currency as you need and arrange for it to be delivered directly to your door, which is free on orders over £500, or use our reserve and collect service by picking this up in your local store. It’s great to start your holiday straight away without having to worry about finding a bank or risk getting stung by expensive airport exchange rates.
Taking a mixture of cash and card gives you a bit more flexibility, and you’ll find it easy to get your currency in Rhodes from ATMs. These are plentiful, but we recommend using a machine attached to a bank for extra security. If you want to use a credit or debit card abroad, ask your card provider about the fees they charge. Often these are quite high, and over the course of a week or two, they can mount up. A great alternative is a pre-paid travel card which can be quickly loaded before leaving and topped up if you need a bit more as you go. Many larger shops and restaurants will accept cards, but cash is always appreciated by small businesses. It’s worth having a variety of coins too since change can be in short supply in more remote areas.
