Semiramis is a family-friendly hotel on the northern coast of the Greek island of Rhodes. The hotel is steps away from Windy beach, an 800m-long stretch of sand and shingle. If you'd prefer to sun yourself or swim back at the hotel, a wooden walkway leads down to the pool area, which has a small terrace for lounging on. The hotel is also a short stroll from the center of Rhodes Town, where you can explore the cultural and historical attractions. There are two restaurants at Semiramis; a buffet restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, and an A la carte restaurant. You can also enjoy a late breakfast option if you feel like sleeping in. The hotel has two bars, one of which is by the pool. Here you can sip soft and alcoholic drinks during the daytime, and eat ice cream and fruit while you relax outside in the afternoon. The hotel offers live music and entertainment in the evenings. If you're in need of some pampering, you can book yourself in for a massage. Kids can enjoy racing around in the playground next to the hotel. During your stay at Semiramis, you'll be a short walk from plenty of bars, restaurants and shops in the city center, as well as the Old Town and Rhodes Acropolis. You can also take a boat ride around the island or to a neighbouring island. As Rhodes is small, there are plenty of other attractions within driving distance.
At Semiramis you'll be 300m from the center of Rhodes Town and 850m from Cyprus Square. This bustling area has plenty of shops and boutiques to explore. There are several attractions that showcase the town's history, including the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, which is a medieval castle that's within walking distance of the hotel. The Acropolis of Rhodes is also within walking distance. This archaeological site, which includes the Temple of Apollo, dates back to the 3rd-century BC. Rhodes town has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you enjoy delving into the history of the area, you can take a day trip to the Lindos Acropolis, which is perched on the top of sheer cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. You can walk up a steep footpath to reach it.
If you want to try out different cuisines during your stay, Semiramis hosts international theme nights three times a week. These include Greek, Italian and barbecue dishes. In between mealtimes there are snacks at the pool bar, where you can also get tea and coffee.
Once every two weeks, Semiramis hosts a Greek-themed evening, and once a week you can enjoy live Greek and international music.
The well-tended outdoor area features an inviting pool with sun loungers and parasols.
All of the rooms at Semiramis have a balcony. Inside, you'll have air conditioning, a safe and a TV with satellite channels.

Tiny dirty rooms with bad service
First, when we came, they gave us wrong room, claiming that it is Sunday and they cannot confirm that we payed for the room with the sea view. What we got, was a dark tiny room. That was not the worst. Worsk was toilet brush. Literaly full of poop. Like all the brush was brown, with pieces of poop hanging all over it. We complained to the front desk and they sent cleaning lady. I have no idea what was she doing there but when we returned to the room, brush looked exactly the same way. When we complained again, this time showing a picture, answer was: but I sent cleaning lady there! So? Is it my fault that she did NOTHING and brush still is disgusting? Cannot 4star hotel afford new brush that costs 1 euro??? Next day we got another room, after they finally confirmed that we payed for the room with the sea view. Here toilet brush was clean. At least something positive. Ventilation grill in the bathroom, on the other hand, was full of dust. Dust was tightly compacted into 2 cm of an extra lenght of the grid. Seems like nobody cleaned it for at least couple of years. Not very healthy to breath air that is coming out of it. Next, towels. Several times after I showered and dried myself with the "clean fresh new" towels, I found on my body long black hairs. I have short blond hair. When i complained about that on reception, guy there started to laugh. I am sorry, but as a microbiologist, I do not find that funny. I had to take shower again and use my own clean clothes to dry myself. It is not only disgusting but it is a potential health risk! To top it up, there were no towels hanger on the balcony. So nowhere to dry beach towels and swimwear. Oh yeah, smiwwing pool looked like a bad joke - one meter deep and couple of meters long. And they claim it to be a pool for grown ups. Terrible coctails, no matter what you order, they all taste exactly same. A bit of sweetness and plenty of chip alcohol. Only color was different. Thus, overall do not be surprised if you find yourself sick with something like hepatitis or pseudomonas, or e.coli, or fungi induced desease some time after you return home. Hygiene is not something this hotel is familiar with.
perfect hotel
We spent a week there, the rooms are great and clean, with a small balcony. When we asked for a clean up, we don't needed to wait a lot, they are coming instantly. We bought a half board, brakfast had everything you could want for breakfast. Dinner was so delicious and the hotel organized a Greek evening where we could taste local Greek dishes. I am very happy that I could taste the local foods. The dining room has a stunning view of the sea. The people working there are very kind. The hotel has cocktail specials in their bar, every night. The hotel also organized a musical evening.
Brilliant 60th wedding anniversary
Me and my husband went for our 60th wedding anniversary. We had a fantastic time. The hotel, food and staff were brilliant. Highly recommended. There is a bar 10 min walk away called Martini Bar - brilliant nights, staff and drinks.
