The Lito Hotel renovated in full the year 2018 , situated just opposite from the famous bay of Ixia on the main road (next to Sheraton hotel).The distance from the city of Rhodes is 4 km and from the airport 9 km.The hotel's ideal location allows guests easy access to all amenities and local sightseeing such as Mandraki harbor, Casino Rodos, Aquarium, the historic Medieval old town, the Palace of the grand masters and the archaeology museum. So firstly when we got to the reception the lady at reception was helpful and gave us all our rooms. My boyfriend and I booked (and payed extra) for a sea view, yet were places in a room on the first floor looking at the entrance of the hotel. The lady at reception then said we’d be moved to a sea view two days before we were meant to leave. This is not what we expected from actually booking the sea view and we were very disappointed. We had breakfast on the first day and it was nothing special- we had breakfast at the little shack near by every morning after that and was so much better. The hotel breakfast only consisted of pastries a bit of cheese and salami and eggs. However saying that the dinner at the hotel restaurant was lovely and really reasonably priced. The hotel was situated in a nice location out looking the beach and was perfect for what we needed only about a 10 min walk from the town of faliraki. The maids were also lovely and cleaned our room near enough everyday :)

Not luxury at all. Avoid if you don’t want to be disappointed.

Compared to the hotels photos, the room we had was appalling. It was much smaller and very cramped, with almost no room to put suitcases and to even relax. I spoke to reception and I was passed onto the owner. He was very blunt and basically told me ‘we take photos of best room for website’ in which there was only a few of these rooms actually in the hotel. Whereas there were quite a lot more of these much smaller, disappointing rooms, that we stayed in. To start off with about the issues with the room aside from it being nothing like the photos. • There was no phone in the room which even though it says it should have one on the website, (this isn’t a issue that stands out but why include it if it doesn’t have it). • The bathroom again was very cramped and consisted of very poor fitting, which is probably the cause of mould/line scale everywhere on the floor around the toilet/shower. I should mention the toilet is literally inside the shower cubicle too. • The bathroom tap was very loose, felt like i could literally pull it off. • The sinks plug, didn’t do as it should, the water would drain straight away. • No safe • The TV had about 6 channels, all of which were awful Greek soaps, it didn’t even the basics such as the News. • The bed was very uncomfortable and it consisted of 2 very firm mattresses put together (this was stated on the website, but I didn’t think it would be that awkward and uncomfortable). • The mini fridge would turn off every now and again and it would cause items inside to defrost/leak water all over the floor. As for issues outside of our hotel room, the lift was quite unstable, there would be times when it would work or it would jolt quite harshly. Some staff were rude, the only pleasant ones were one of the waiters, one or two cleaners (the other one just stared all the time and didn’t actually say Hi back which I found was rude), and 2 receptionists (bald male and blonde woman). The owner didn’t even ask how our stay was when we left, he just gave a blunt ‘goodbye’ whilst he kept his head down at his computer. To conclude, I’d definitely advise staying elsewhere as you can get much better value for money. I’d highly recommend the Aloe Hotel, much more welcoming and much better value for money.

Pleased with the location. However won’t be returning due to the attitudes of staff and limited meal choices.

The hotel itself was lovely, however, the staff really let it down. Didn’t feel the customer service was up to the standards of how the hotel was advertised online. Some staff were occasionally quite rude and dismissive. We paid extra for a “luxury” sea view room but were placed in a standard ground floor room for the first night of our holiday due to an overlapping of bookings, so organisation was clearly an issue. However, luckily, we did get our room on the second day, after asking a multiple times is this would be guaranteed. We met some other guests of the hotel who had also paid extra for a sea view room but were placed in one of the ground floor rooms for 3 nights after being promised this would only be temporary for 1 night, so it’s clear this is an ongoing issue! Breakfast was average and dinner was very disappointing considering we paid extra for this also. Very basic selection of food at dinner time and minimal choice of meals.
