Great hotel
Myself and my partner (30s) have been to Faliraki for the last 4 years and we are in love with the area. We have stayed at Achousa Hotel for the last 2 years and it has always provided everything we need. The hotel is lovely and tucked away off the main road so it's very peaceful on a night, the pool is a great size and plenty of sunbeds for relaxing on during the day. There's a bar area outside next to the pool for drinks, burgers etc during the day and Achousa also have a separate bar within the hotel leading to a terraced area for evenings. The area itself is about a 20mins walk from the town centre. Faliraki isn't just a club scene as we were both concerned about this on our first year here but it's easily avoidable if you want a quieter holiday. Achousa hotel has a mini supermarket on site for the essentials and offer air con to rooms for a fee which we always take them up on. Faliraki for us is always a really good time away and we class it as "cheap and cheerful" break as everything is so well priced including local restaurants. In the town there's a tourist shop for booking excursions at and plenty of other activities locally. We would definitely stay again, the staff are helpful and kind and the resident cats are so cute!
Great hotel but after hours activity was X rated!
This hotel is excellent value. The staff are absolutely wonderful. For a budget hotel, the price is very good. The location is a bit of a walk to the main action but thinking about it, it was good for me missus to do a bit of walking as she's a bit overweight. Me and Jenny went there for a relaxing week but ended up getting /seeing more than we bargained for. We are in our early 40's and open minded, but one night approx.3 or 4 am, we came back pissed and saw a couple in their 60's "at it, fully naked" in the pool. Good on em, they were enjoying them selves! Next night we saw same couple doing it again but this time on the grass with old mate rogering his wife from behind! Anyway this got Jenny turned on and we had a great night together except for Jenny constantly breaking wind from all the beers she drank-Bless her.. Concluding, Steve and Marge (the couple at it) by chance ended up having lunch with us and apologised and giggled when we said we saw them in action. No harm whatsoever was done and they said that they do it at every hotel they stay at to keep their spark alive...they have been married since they were teenagers, gotta love that. So, apart from the free show which was unexpected and enjoyable, our stay at the Achousa was great. My only complaint is that we didn't stay longer. It has fantastic amenities, clean good rooms, a lovely pool and the best staff who do everything to make your stay enjoyable. I give this hotel a 5 star rating for the price!!
Lovely family run hotel, walking distance to Faliraki.
We stayed here the last week of September and had a lovely time. It is roughly 15 mins from Faliraki (turn left out of hotel) but there is also a bus stop right outside of the hotel towards Faliraki/Rhodes (opposite side of road to the hotel) and towards Lindos (same side as hotel) I emailed them before we arrived as wouldn't get to the hotel till pass midnight and they advised they will be open and waiting for us. When we got there at roughly 00:30, they had big smiles and very welcoming. Every morning we got a hello, we paid for late checkout (€20) which is till 8pm but they told us we can have it till we were picked up at 10pm. Aircon is €30 for the week but it was comfortable in till the last 2 days so paid €5 for each day. The room was amazing and lovely, I do think we had a modernised room (309) which comprises of 2 bedroom, small kitchen and bathroom. Each bedroom had its own balcony. The pool area was nice, enough sun beds and shades (they are both a little tired), the food area was good, plenty of seats to sit in the sun or shade. Personally think the breakfast was to expensive, for 2 and 2 soft drinks it was over €20, we only had Gyros for lunch which were lovely. 2 of these and 2 soft drinks came to €13 which is great as even when we went into town they were about the same price. All the staff were so nice and lovely, they organizers a quad bike for us and even told the man off when he was late lol. All in all I was very pleased with the hotel and stay and I would go back. I would also advise there is about 5 cats there, they are all friendly but still watch you eat, I recommend not feeding them as saw sunshine do this and they followed then around.
