Perfect Hotel, but an honest review.
Fantastic hotel and perfect location, even though it is a short walk outside of town you'll be thankful that it is. ( Keep in mind that there isn't one footpath on any of the main roads, and all the roads are super busy into the early hours of the morning, so please be careful) All the reviews are correct, so I will try and write something that others haven't already said ... I loved this hotel because it didn't try to be something that it is not. The team are super friendly, they go above and beyond to ensure you have a perfect stay. I have stayed in Myknose several times before in other hotels, and all they seem to care about is your money. This Place is perfect. Everything I would look at in choosing a hotel, Vienoula's Garden had. The rooms were typical modern Greek and super sexy, relaxed, modern, clean, fresh, and airy. and they have kept the hotel traditional with a modern twist which is great, and beautifully appointed throughout. The Rooms: The Bathrooms 10/10 Shower: 10/10 Shower Gel and toiletries: 10/10 Tiling: 10/10 USB ports: NO Lighting and fixtures: 10/10 Water pressure: 10/10 Interior Design: 9/10 First impressions: 10/10 Bed comfort: 10/10 Sleep Quality: 10/10 Linin: 10/10 Hair dryer: YES Hanging Space: 8/10 [only six hangers] Television: For English only BBC news and no movie channels, and it's not a smart TV with excess to Prime or Netflix. The room came with a small fridge, kettle, and safe, plus slippers no robes though, No bottled water, the room also came with 2x coffee, 2 x sugar, 2 x small milk, which are replaced daily. There is a mini market 5 minitues walk outside the hotel to your left, while town is to your right which leads you into town down a hill. Although there really isn't outside the hotel in terms of places to eat and drink, everything is in town. [No mini-bar, and we had to ask for an iron, which was no big deal and we kept this for the entire duration of our stay] The rooms. ( all are slightly differen, in layout and size, but all carry the same concept) The room at the front of the hotel are better for the view, and sunsets and get the sun all day, some of these rooms have a front terrace. but these are not private. These rooms would be better for those on their honeymoon, (and if they had a private jacuzzi this would be amazing). - I don't think any of the rooms offer a sea view, but the sunsets are amazing and all rooms are great and you wouldn't be disappointed by any of the rooms. While the upper floors have a balcony, Rooms at the back of the hotel have a landscaped courtyard view and are at ground level, slightly more shaded with your own outdoor terrace. (same level as the pool) However, room 17 is situated in the centre and isn't that private. There are no lifts at the hotel, therefore this hotel would not suit those that use a wheelchair or struggle with steps, as there are steps throughout the hotel leading to different floor levels throughout the hotel. The clientele was mixed, couples, solo travellers, LGBTQ-friendly, and families, although I wouldn't recommend this hotel to families with young children as there isn't much for them to do. The Hotel: Location: 10/10 ( if you want somewhere chilled and away from the madness, but wish to be close enough for an evening/day out) First impressions: 10/10 Last impressions 10/10 Reception Desk: 10/10 Interior design: 10/10 Service: 9/10 [only 1 person at the pool bar] Pool bar: 10/10 Drink options 10/10 Cleanliness: 10/10 Relaxed: Yes Pool: 10/10 Drinks 9/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 Lighting and fixtures: 10/10 Grounds: 10/10 Sun loungers: 10/10 (comfort 10/10) Linin: 10/10 Fresh towels daily: Yes Fresh Pool towels: Yes Value: 10/10 Toilets and shower rooms: 10/10 Vibe: chilled and relaxed Breakfast: 6/10 they had both hot and cold food ... although it was sadly the same every morning, and it's mainly processed food, processed sausages, bacon and cuts of meat. Tinned fruit. (although they did have fresh watermelon) and Coffee at breakfast is from a machine. They also did greek yoghurt which was great, selection of pastries and cereals. - Nice, but felt it could be better. Food: 4/10 but that's mainly for choice, they do a snack menu, but I hate to say it felt it was mainly leftovers from breakfast. Greek salad, Greek Yoghurt, and Toasties. Drink prices in euros. Cocktails 9, in town 25+. Large beer 6 in town 10+, Coffee 4 in town 6+. Soft drinks 2.50 in town 4+ Small beer 3 in town 5, a glass of wine 4.50-7 in town 9+ Where the Hotel lacks... This isn't a negative, as the hotel is fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone, but the town can be overbearing, busy, crowded, and ridiculously overpriced compared to all the other greek Islands. I could have quite happily stayed in the hotel and chilled most nights... The town is beautiful and sexy, and if you use Instagram you'll be in heaven. However, after a few nights out, all you'll want to do is chill and relax and never enter the town, and some nights the thought of walking into the madness puts you off straight away. The pool bar closes at 7 pm, and you can swim in the pool until 8 pm... although you could probably swim later and they wouldn't care. The only downside to the hotel after a few nights into your stay is that if you don't always fancy going into town, then there isn't much to do in the evenings and it lacks an atmosphere. It would be a great edition if the pool bar stayed open till later, The clubs in town don't start getting busy until around 11 pm -1 am 'ish ... and they stay open till sunrise. Although the town is always busy from start to finish. There are plently of bars, resturants, shops. The inside bar lacks atmosphere and I didn't see anyone using it for our entire stay, which was a shame because this has huge potential and is a great space, but no character, even though it's very nice, it's not somewhere you would want to relax and unwind in the evening... nor is it inviting and feels more like an extension to the lobby or breakfast area. The hotel appears to have plenty of space (both inside and out) that isn't been utilised for its best potential, after 7 pm it became a place to simply to sleep... not everyone wants to go into town every night, some guests would rather relax in the hotel, and get to know the other guest before heading out or calling it a night, there were lots of guests travelling solo, and this would be great space to get to know other guests for chilled drinks or those just wanting a romantic break together, without all the madness of town. If the inside bar had better seating, chilled-out music, and mood lighting this would create a better atmosphere for sure in the bar area in the evening. Although the hotel is beautifully lit during the evening, not everyone wants to go into town every evening, nor do they want to stay on there balcanies, but still wish to be soical. As there are no footpaths, and the roads are very dangerous, even a simple jog or run isn't possible, so if there was an onsite gym this would be a great addition too. Outside: double sunbed lounges would be nice for those on a romantic break around the pool, plus an outdoor jacuzzi would be fantastic, while the pool bar stayed open till late, even a shuttle bus to take you into town or beach at selected times. More choices on the food menu, such as club sandwiches, burgers, and pizzas and more choices in salads, with a better vegan/vegetarian option throughout the day. And more fresh produce at breakfast, in the other words not processed. eg, omelettes, fresh fruit and pastries, and fruit smoothies around the pool would be fantanstic. Would I stay again, yes for sure ... Value for money, Great as a base, great location, clean and modern, but still very traditional? The entire team are amazing and a big shout out to Jenny at the pool bar, who made everyone feel welcome.
Lovely relaxing hotel with wonderful staff
Recommended by a friend and wasn't disappointed. Spotlessly clean, staff are so friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Couldn't fault. For us use of taxi was preferable to walking down into the town as can be a bit difficult due to lack of pavements.
My Birthday Celebration
The staff helped me celebrate my birthday with a yummy ice cream cake and a gorgeous evil eye to help my next year in life. They were super accommodating, gracious and helpful with advice. The facility is lovely and an excellent proximity to town, Ornos and many other places. I throughly enjoyed my vacation
