The hotel is in an idyllic location in Kors, right by the private beach. The hotel security is next to none with current covid checks upon return to the establishment very stringent. The rooms have seen better days and having had the 2 bedroom apartment,The run down decor is definitely a let down and not warranting 5 star The rooms were very dusty, had to ask for our rooms to be cleaned and dirty dishes taken away which was a hazard with glasses laying about for days by the private pools. The food is standard buffet with rather disappointing variety for such a rated hotel. The place is ideal for small kids with entertainment every night for younger audience and adults too as cocktails are amazing. The restaurants on site are OK but very basic. The staff are what holds this hotel,very friendly and welcoming,definitely made the stay memorable

Tourist Money Pit

I really have no clue where to start. My daughter had her wedding here. After spending thousands of euros on the event, guests left the reception hungry. The food was terrible. Small portions and tasteless. Reception finished at 9pm, and there was nowhere open on the resort to get anything to eat. That was only the start of it. I am a wheelchair user. I booked our room at the Resort via their app and there didnt appear to be an option to book a wheelchair accessible room. As it's a 5* resort, I inadvertently assumed that perhaps there were an adequate supply of these rooms available. So, I arrived in reception to check in and it was obvious to all concerned that I was in a wheelchair! I checked in and took the buggy to the room, only to find that it was inaccessible for me, as I had to leave my chair outside a steep kerb, and walk some 12 feet or so to gain access to the room. Apparently, the whole thing (according to the Resort Manager, Ioannis Morasis) was my fault, as I should have put in a "note" on the app to request a mobility friendly room. But surely the receptionist (who knew the layout of the resort much better than I - as it was my first and last trip there) should have perhaps suggested another room for me, more suitable? Nothing was said. And to pour salt in an open wound, there were these "mats" spread throughout the resort, that made pushing me particularly difficult, as the mats had a raised lip on them which caught the base of my chair on 2 occasions, and I nearly tipped out. Thankfully, to the quick thinking and kindness of some other Resort guests, they moved the mats away for me to enable my husband to manoeuvre past them. This Resort is not suitable for anyone who has mobility issues and when I raised this with the Manager, I was told that everything is as it should be and the problem is with me. Tourist money pit. If you want good customer service, good food, don't stay somewhere that charges you €200+ a night, only to be made to feel insignificant and just a number.

We stayed at the Blue Lagoon Village for 2 weeks 6 October to 20 October on a much needed and delayed break. We found the good points well earned. Staff were friendly and hard working. Cleanliness was kept to very high standard indeed. I wish some of our catering establishments were so dedicated. I always found plenty to tempt me in the food department. The weather was quite hot when we were there and I can thoroughly recommend the Blue Lagoon Special cocktail as a cooling and very refreshing drink. The only problem, which distracts form the good points, is the there was no segregation of smokers in the outdoor eating areas. The weather being warm, a lot of people wanted to eat outdoors but their enjoyment was degraded somewhat by the very few smokers who paid no attention to the needs and comfort of the majority of the other guests and small children in their surrounds. I found the mattress a bit too soft for my liking but that's personal taste. KOS airport on departure was a bit of a nightmare. Only 2 passport check desks and only one was manned to deal with queuing Gatwick and Manchester departures/ We were confined to a stuffy virtually airless tunnel to get to the desk.
