On its own sandy beach, Atlantica Porto Bello Royal is a short drive from the resort of Kardamena on the south coast of the Greek island Kos. You can have a swim in the Aegean Sea, which is steps from the hotel, or instead use one of the 18 swimming pools on site. The pool area includes a space dedicated to sports and a separate kids' pool with water slides. If you prefer to relax, there's a sun terrace as well as a gym and a spa, which has a heated indoor pool and a sauna and offers massages and beauty treatments. Thrill seekers can try paragliding courtesy of the hotel's activities team, and there's also a hotel-run kids club for children aged 4-12. There are four bars to choose from at Atlantica Porto Bello Royal serving international brands of soft and alcoholic drinks. The lounge and pool bars stay open from morning until the early hour, while the beach bar serves until sunset. There are also five restaurants to choose from, with international, Mediterranean and Greek dishes available. For a change of scene, you can take a trip into Kardamena, where there are lots of shops, restaurants and bars.

Beach lovers will enjoy the proximity to the sand at Atlantica Porto Bello Royal, with the hotel's own beach 100m away. If you want to explore your surroundings a little more, the popular resort of Kardamena is 3km away. You could visit the Temple of Apollo and the Church of Agia Barbara, while the kids will love the water parks and amusements in the local vicinity. Kardamena also has its own port where you can catch a ferry to the nearby island of Nisyros. Here there's an active volcano, a number of beaches and the natural thermal springs where water temperatures can reach 60°C.

Each meal time is covered at Atlantica Porto Bello Royal, with a buffet restaurant open for breakfast and another three buffet-style options and an Asian restaurant opening at lunch and dinner. Ice cream and snacks are available between meals, and there's four bars serving drinks throughout the day.

The hotel offers aerobics classes, beach volleyball and tennis (racquets and balls can be hired). Entertainment is provided six nights per week.

We will arrive on 15 March and will stay for 10 days. Having checked many of the reviews I look forward to a wonderful stay together with my family. So far the hotel has been helpful in responding to my emails quickly and guaranteeing a special room for my mother who needs special assistance. Cleanliness and air conditioning seem to be a problem for some previous reviewers. This is a bit worrying but I hope we will have no problem and that I will write a great review when back home

Zografina Captain Is Very Fantastic! The other persons are strange. We Have eaten very much. The place is ok but the other persons was strange. I didn't understand the tipical client. Kos is non so beautiful. It isn't a tipical greek island!

Not a Atlantica hotel since January 2022!

Reason for putting this now is because the hotel ignored us , TUI ignored us and now with ABTA . They say all things were fine , this is self service all the way where the food is passed around restaurants we saw it, staff are vigilant, saying it’s my home please don’t say . We have no choice ! They disregard any complaints we paid £4500 for 10 days reused food, wasps oww please please , great staff but this is terrible not 5 star on emailing management convenient team change from our emails before our upgrade! No notification from TUI from January until august ! And when the burger restaurant explains the slaughter house they use ! That was the only restaurant , I couldn’t eat my dinner ! All leisure outsourced ! Even staff were trying ! Buses were full to get away ! To go to kardemena ! The area clean . But that’s it , don’t expect 5 star , pool closures 10 til 5 pm . Food revamped disgusting don’t bother I was listening to moans from others all week ! Paid in excess as it was covid celebration sons 18th!
