The village of Poros is is situated in the most lush and greenest part of the island, in southern Kefalonia.The property is situated in a place with amazing amphitheatric Sea Views of the the Ionion Sea, which each balcony offers. T he complex provides to all its visitors a huge variety of stylish accommodations and facilities of high quality and it is just the perfect place for couples, teenagers as well as families in search of comfortable, pleasant apartments by the sea. The area is renowned for fishing, while its caves are a shelter for the seal Monachus-Monachus and the Caretta-Caretta turtle. In the local area there are many restaurants, bars and cafe in a short distance near to the marina of Poros in only two minutes on foot away. ?he marina is the perfect place for a relaxing coffee admiring the sea view and hearing the waves. However, if you desire some more crowded areas next to a beach, you can visit the main square of the village which is next to the sea, where you can find many cafe bars, taverns and restaurants. There, you can communicate with many people as with local people since it is a place for them to be socialized.

Another day in paradise

I have just checked out Oceanis hotel as we are going to stay there again in June for the Sixth time. I happen to see one bad review about Oceanis and I think these people need to have their head checked. How can anyone put a bad review about Oceanis, Maria, Alex or Peter is totally beyond me? They are the kindest, nicest, accommodating people I ever met in my life; don’t only take my words for it, just look at the other reviews from other people. To emphasise what I am saying, last year we stayed in Oceanis for 4 weeks, split between June and September. During our 3 weeks in September, we travelled in Kefalonia for one week staying in other small hotels/apartments in Sami, Argostoli and Assos, none of them came near to Oceanis. We travelled the world many times over and have been to many places in our life, both for work and pleasure, and always come back to Oceanis and Kefalonia.

Surprisingly affordable with beautiful views

In June 2022 my partner and I stayed at this hotel on the beautiful island of Kefalonia. Hotel Oceanis is situated on top of a hill, making for quite the adventurous drive on steep roads to get to it! Of course this also means that the views are absolutely phenomenal. You can see the harbour, ocean and mountains from the pool, balcony and several terraces. This hotel is ideal if you want to stay near the ferry port to catch your ferry to the mainland early in the morning. It is only 2 minutes to get there by car. Staff is friendly and helpful, the pool area is fantastic and the breakfast spread was fresh, diverse and tasty! I loved the dolmades and toasted bread with feta cheese and tomatoes which were available every morning. If you're looking for a place to eat dinner, there is an amazing authentic taverna at walking distance as well. We really don't understand why this hotel only has 2 stars on Tripadvisor. We truly had an amazing, luxurious and surprisingly affordable stay.

Fantastic family holiday

We have just returned from an amazing 10 days in Kefalonia. The Oceanis Hotel is a perfect base for exploring the island. The hotel is basic but has everything you need and is extremely clean. The family are very keen to make your stay enjoyable and will provide anything that you need, be it beach towels, lifts to the town and back, airport transfers or car hire. The island was quiet due to the time of year but there were still plenty of places to visit and eat and drink. The hotel provides breakfast which was excellent and bar snacks were available too. We had toasted sandwiches a couple of times and these were great value for money. The pool was cold which was a shame but there were plenty of sun loungers and table tennis available. Overall the oceanis Hotel is excellent value for money, the views are amazing and the location is perfect for exploring. I would 100% recommend it for those that are not expecting 5* luxury.
