Lovely hotel

This is a short and sweet review as i’ve trouble logging into my account. This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location! Clean, fresh and modern looking. The girls on reception are lovely and helpful, Marika, Vanna,etc cannot remember all the names, Lovely breakfast, friendly waiters. Room was small but cosy had what we needed with balcony, bed was so comfy! Would definitely recommend really enjoyed it!

Horrendous Customer Service

I have never had such an awful experience when booking and staying in a hotel. In short, the manager was no help, awful at communicating and incredibly rude/dishonest. I booked this for a friend's wedding as the wedding party were staying in the same place. The 'special rates' we had been promised were worse than the ones online, I think they claimed the rooms were nicer. I booked and tried to pay a deposit over the phone with a credit card, but they never answered once and I called many times daily. Once I sent the money they never acknowledged it. I booked the 2nd room and paid for that through Jet2 and immediately got an email from the woman at the hotel telling me they had cancelled both rooms despite having paid for 1 and a quarter of both of them. I told them to leave both of them and they sent me a cancellation policy telling me I had until the month before to cancel free of charge. No mention of non-refundable deposits. I cancelled with plenty of time and they told me they wouldn't be refunding the deposit but I could use it as credit, I was annoyed but at least I would be going there regardless. The woman who was the manager refused to deal with this while I was there, saying she would need to check if I could use it as credit with the manager (herself). She was so rude and aggressive with me about it and then once she finally agreed to give the deposit back she took my details and refused to do it until I had left. Sure enough, I never got that money back. It was €170 which was annoying as I spent so much on the actual booking and while I was there. Anyway the entire experience was way too stressful and completely ruined the stay. I would strongly advise finding somewhere else.

A Grand experience!

What a fabulous find! My husband and I had booked in for just one night but stayed for a week. We loved our time at The Kefalonia Grand Hotel, the staff were all fabulous and made us feel so welcome. The hotel has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the location is perfect for watching the boats come and go whilst watching the sun rise over the mountains. Breakfast was amazing, and by far the best we have ever experienced in our travels. We felt so relaxed and refreshed from our stay at this lovely hotel, we didn't want to leave! The Kefalonia Grand Hotel is definitely the place to stay in Argostoli.
