The Only Place to Stay in Argostoli

My husband and I spent four nights with Spiros and his team at Canale in July 2022. It is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. As an Interior Designer, I love the design of the hotel. Super modern, well appointed, sophisticated style, quality materials, relaxing atmosphere, and comfortable furnishings. It also smells amazing! The hotel is small - just ten rooms, so you are part of the Canale family while you are there - the service is exceptional. They really take care of you. One of my favorite amenities is the complimentary breakfast. The food is amazing, more than enough to eat, and you have to option to select items to have delivered to your room, rather than eat in the hotel dining space. The bed was SO comfortable, the rooms are extremely clean, and stocked with all the items you need. I loved the rain shower! We had the staff make all our reservations - they can get you the best tables at the best places to eat. My husband is Greek, and all the restaurants they suggested were up to our standards. They also provide free front-row sunbeds at Costa Costa, a fantastic nearby beach. The best part of my day was coming home from a long day at the beaches and walking into my beautiful, clean, and comfy room. We would have wine in the jacuzzi while staring at the sea and then walk to our dinner spot. Canale is located in a great location in Argostoli, with a view of the sea but easy walks to restaurants, shops, and the pedestrian road/town square. I would definitely stay here next time we are in Kefalonia. Thank you SO MUCH, Spiro! I came here for my mini-moon for a few days as a base to adventure the island and HOLY MOLY, this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The room itself was very well thought through with some excellent touches (such as a button to close the curtains and high quality toiletries). The minibar was very well stocked and the jacuzzi was fabulous. What really makes this hotel stand apart though is the service. We have stayed in some very highly rated hotels around the world, but the service in this hotel is the best I’ve ever experienced. We (very last minute) asked for a boat trip and a tour to be organised and it was meticulously arranged to a very high standard. The staff here are truly exceptional and make you feel like their only guest, they are exactly what hospitality should be, and I’ll remember this trip for a very long time. If I could change anything it would be a slightly smaller breakfast as it is ENORMOUS …but I just hate food waste and don’t have the largest appetite in the morning .

Only one word can describe Canale Hotel and Suites - WOW! From arrival we were blown away by the hotel, rooms, food and team. Spiros, Alexandra, Erica and team were always on hand to offer suggestions and advice when needed. Having stayed in a variety of hotels we can say that the Canale Hotel is up there with the best! Small touches like the drink on arrival, huge choice at breakfast and the smart rooms make for a relaxing break. The daily use of sun beds at Costa Costa is also a great touch! Thanks for an amazing holiday, we will hopefully see you soon!
