another great stay in Latania

It became a good tradition- visiting Latania and friends. We are proud to be a part of those happy customers who come back to Latania every time. We did it again this year inspite of many obstacles due to COVID-19 time. Thank you, dear Latania dream team! You all made us happy!

Nice location, annex from hell! Honest review

We booked this hotel after we had to change our original booking due to members of the Party been unable to make the holiday. On arrival to the hotel we thought wow what an amazing location. Right on the Main Street near local bars and restaurants we was happy and had a lovely welcome from Babis (little did we know he wouldn’t stay nice). We had read about the separate buildings to the hotel known as the “annex” but it never mentioned we would have to walk along the busy road past several shops down a dark smelly corridor to reach out rooms. We had been allocated the 3rd floor no lifts so had to climb the shiny tiled step steps 40 in total (yes we counted them). One of the rooms were changed to the first floor as they saw we had mobility issues with one of the party (using a stick due to a bad knee) this was appreciated. We were informed that we would be moved to the main complex as soon as rooms became available. We had rooms 104 & 304 Room 104 had a 10ft wall so basically the room was below ground level it did have a nice little garden out the back. Room 304 over looked car garages and car wash and to the side of the building a car & quid bike rental shop! An afternoon nap was out of the question as was a lay in. Car wash and engine roaring all day from about 8.30am - 10 pm. Needles to say we never got a room move from 304 however we did get one for room 104. The room change was not what we booked but it was easier for them the other room change wasn’t the same and we wasn’t happy to move to a smaller room. This was after several chats with Babis. This is where it turned, we spoke to the rep as we had seen people come and go from the Annex all week and when I questioned Babis about it he became extremely aggressive and confrontational. I had to walk away from him as he was extremely nasty. We have found of since returning home and complaining to tour operator that he has said I was aggressive to him which is not true. He admitted to the rep he had shouted and raised his voice to me. Once we had spoken to the rep it was down hill from there. In step the hotel owner who I can only describe as intimidating and unnerving. Where ever we seemed to be he would be watching and staring at us. We moved he moved, it was like he wanted us out. It worked as we spent very little time in the hotel after this. We had paid for B&B but we went out for breakfast and even stopped drinking around the bar because of him and Babis. What I will say is that the saving Grace of this shamble of a hotel is Manos. He did what ever he could to help us and make us smile. He was grumpy at times but the hours the man does and the work he does I can’t allow them man a grumpy moan. I’m more than expecting a back lash comment from the hotel owner or Babis. What I will say to you both in preparation for this is. * Sort your hotel information out to let people know just what the separate building is. * Reduce the price for these rooms which are not to the same standard as the main complex rooms. * Don’t promise what you can’t deliver and people won’t continue to ask. In summary good location, Manos & bar staff are the back bone. The hotel was clean and fresh towels every other day same as bedding. Just a shame they are let down by the owner & manager.

COULDN'T WAIT TO RETURN

After our return here, in July/August, at Latania Studios, we decided to return once again in October. Total relaxation without any fuss. Apart from some minor earth tremors, every moment of our stay was very enjoyable. Manos and Babis were always very helpful, with Manos providing an excellent service from the bar, and a really helpful Babis in reception. We can't wait to return, and will keep looking for dates that will be available. PS Almost forgot to mention the ladies who every day kept the the rooms updated and cleaned. A big thanks to everyone for a truly enjoyable holiday stay.
