Driades Apartments is a small attractive complex in a quiet position within the pretty and picturesque village of Piskopiano.It is just 150 metres to the many bars and tavernas in the centre of Piskopiano and the centre of Hersonissos is a 20 minutes walk downhill from the apartments.These apartments will appeal to families and couples looking for quiet accomodation in a scenic hillside location above Hersonissos. We had a lovely time at these apartments. They were compact and basic, but this is reflected in the price. They were spotlessly clean and the cleaner visited most days and our bedding was changed three times during the week. The view is amazing and I was seduced by the photos, without really thinking through how far it is from the beach. Fortunately for us, the teenagers were not impressed by Hersonissos beach or strip ( neither were we). We were much happier around the pool and in the villages, which really are incredibly close to the apartments. A ten minute stroll gives you a wide range of dining options to suit all tastes. It is up hill on the way back, but isn't far. We had a lovely time and would recommend these apartments.

Great place to stay

Went on holiday in late august for a week with daughter and grandchildren ages ranged from 6 to 25 . The accommodation is basic but very clean , with fresh towels and linen every other day . Kettle and two ring electric stove . No oven or grill . Basic cutlery . Air con if you need it is extra but not expensive . Pool area is fantastic and always enough sun beds for guests . Can but drinks and snacks at bar area for reasonable prices . Accommodation is situated at top of a hill which provides great views but challenging if you have mobility or breathing difficulties . Not easy to access if you have very small toddlers as the climb up the hill would be difficult for small ones and pushing trolleys and buggies . Ideal for older children and couples with no kids Surrounding villages are easily accessible on foot and there are lots of places to eat and drink and local supermarkets that sell most things so pack light and buy when you arrive . Most places accept cash or card and there’s plenty of ATMs . Nearest beach is straight down hill about 20 mins walk , get there very early if you want a bed and a shade . Cost is 5 euro for each bed . Beach is very short with little space and it’s Shingle rather than sand . Getting into the sea is a bit of a challenge due to rocky bed . Typical beach front bars and souvenir shops not my cup of tea all a bit tacky . Trip to water park well worth it kids loved it Trip to star beach was god for kids it took approx 30 mins to walk there . Again 5 euros for a sunbed but lots of stuff for kids to keep them occupied . Beach is better at star beach but it’s short and gets crowded so get there early if you want a space on the beach . Reasonably priced holiday booked with TUI flights included . A week is long enough .

Just returned from a wonderful family holiday and would recommend Driades apartments. George is amazing and never stops! Nothing is too much trouble.The food available is lovely and reasonably priced and the complex is nice and quiet with wonderful views.You need to be fit to manage the hills from Piskopiano village and the steps back up to the apartments.The rooms are basic but suitable and are cleaned frequently.I can understand why people return to this place time and time again.Perfect place with wonderful staff.
