First stay on Crete and the hotel was selected for business purposes. We received free room upgrades. Room was spacious with excellent bed and shower. Plenty storage for clothing. Breakfast was very good with choice of pancakes, poached eggs, friend food, cereal, fresh fruit, bread, toast, pastries. Staff were lovely and friendly and happy to answer any queries. Only disappointing thing was the pool was closed so the swimsuit remained in my case.

Superb Massage

Having a wonderful time in Heraklion at the Aquila Atlantis. Close to main shopping precinct, museums and other attractions. Hotel staff are super friendly, fluent English and very efficient. My wife had a massage with Kallia which she says was probably the best she has ever had world wide.

Great hotel but on flight path like many others

Lovely hotel, with a very modern and well decorated junior suite. The main pool is at the top of the hotel and is small, but with enough seats for 30 odd people to sunbathe. We made use of the massage facility on offer which was thoroughly enjoyable. Breakfast was of a good quality, and with a wide range of products and we were able to obtain an outside table most days which was our preference. Reception was well managed though it was a little disappointing on our last day that a medical equipment fayre occupied the whole lobby and there was no reference to this beforehand. You've the usual issue of you not being able to flush toilet paper down the toilet. Quite how the island hasn't modernised its sewer systems is puzzling to say the least. The main issue with the hotel was that it was on a flight path, so expect to hear planes until midnight and then to be woken by one around 5 or 6 o'clock. This also meant sunbathing wasn't as peaceful as it could have been.
