Good option to stay near airport

We wanted to stay near airport as we arrived late night so this was perfect. There’s a bus stop outside so you can easily get to the airport or the centre of Heraklion. Nice sandy beach just a 3 minute walk from your room. Nice pool area, good loungers though it’s maybe a little smaller than it appears in the photos. The apartment was clean, spacious, good bathroom and we had 2 balconies though they were a little small. Very friendly owner. We had a very nice meal one night in the on-site restaurant, it was a surprise as often hotel restaurants can be very bland.

A lot of things that need to be changed

The hotel overall is not bad but there are plenty of things that require the attention of the management: 1) Hot water - almost none in the evening hours and basically almost no water coming out of the shower 2) The towels are not really clean 3) There is no privacy at all on the balcony. For instance, when i go to the balcony, everyone is staring at me, there should be at least a tent or something that will hide the guest from the others

We have really a good experience while we were in a big trouble with our flight that had been cancelled. We have called the hotel really late at 1.00 am and Giorgio Gaitani that was outside with Friends understand our situation and come back in the hotel to give us a room for the night. On top of this he give us hospitality for all the day up to our rescheduled fight. We were really impressed by his kindness and his passion for his work. Thanks again Giorgio!
